Warp at log-in

Can someone confirm something for me please? When you've done a "safe log-off", or any log-off in space come to think of it, when you log back in you do a forced warp to your previous location from somewhere random, which you can't cancel. It's possible to scan you out, warp to you and scramble you before you hit warp, isn't it? I mean you're not "invisible" until you arrive at your previous grid?

I never really paid much attention to the log-on mechanic before as I usually do it in stations.

Anyone confirm this please?

No you can't be scanned down and locked during the align for that warp?

you can be, but youre 'in warp' so you can't be tackled.

In my cap I'm not "in warp" when I log in. I'm "warping", but you don't hit warp until aligned (or rather, up to 70% speed or whatever it is). That's what's causing the confusion for me.

probing takes about 8 sec and warping more than that, so what ever you are flying you warp before prober lands and tackles.

you cant be tackled, but I read somewhere that seems credible (so didn't actually see it in action) that you can bump the person in warp keeping him from warping. But even there it mentions that it is very hard to do in a real situation. This strategy was devised to possibly kill titans that logoff in pos'es. Again I say, not fully confirmed that it has been done before.

It is one of the viable strategies for getting points on supers i believe. The prober throws the dictor / hic into warp from nearby and tackle is made before the super can warp.

While i believe this is possible mechanically speaking i havent heard of it being done.

For all other ships its almost certainly not a viable strategy.

Ok, that's all. Catching at initial warp-in to POS from "safe" in something like a Rorqual seems not to be possible, then.

With perfect skills, the fastest you can cycle one probe scan is 5 seconds. Most hunters will need (at least) 2 cycles to pinpoint you , then another few seconds to align, warp, come out of warp, target and point you.

I think minimum you will have 15 seconds of guaranteed safety.
