He was talking about a cruise Golem, not torps.

I still love the nightmare.

I want one myself as it's a cool as **** ship (so are all the ships that get mentioned in these threads), use wise I'd probably stick to incursions with it though.

A cruise Golem can get over 1000 dps now.

My Mach is still getting 1400 DPS guns and add 100dps to 200dps depending on what drones I use. Ranges from 4000m to 70km pretty easy, I just don't know why anyone would not chose Mach.

Trouble I find is the Mach can't get that DPS out whilst hitting always weakest resists -
Fair play in angel space but after that...Not so hot. Then there's the whole falloff thing.

Don't get me wrong it's a fun ship but when the debate is ruthless, crushing efficiency the only answer (for me) is multiple hulls.

Well I just checked this again, apparently they can now. That's what I get for not flying a missile boat for over a year.

How?

I know the specs of the guns, but I've used them in missions.. I think my last toon was around 1100 DPS or so all and all, but could hit 3k to 60km with the standard BattleClinic fav, but was only effective DPS in a best range of 30k or less and speed setting of non afterburner. At that range it would melt the BS, but getting there was tiring. I got tired of flying to the 130k world's collide targets, etc.. and back again... so perhaps it's a change up as others have said to change the ship depending on the mission, but that's only for Vets who have years of skilling different ships/guns... If it's one Mission runner ... .it take some thinking.

Hail is how you get that kind of DPS.

And that's the thing....I can take a TFI...yes, yes granted...***FAR*** weaker tank to be sure, to STUPID crazy DPS numbers - but its selectable damage and is flat right out to lock range. And the TFI is merely for example, the RNI is *right* behind it, if you fit it correctly.

That said, the mach is [still] quite some machine if one only had ONE choice, it's a *very* good one. If you have the luxury of several...use several. Of course, anyone able to properly fit a competitive mach...has no excuse for not being able to affford alternates.

My two Machs Stats:

[Statistics - Goldiee]
Arties, Quake 17,934m – 113,286 m
Volley Damage: 16,288.62
DPS: 1,174.72

Auto-cannons, Hail 3,998m – 46,609m
Volley Damage: 5,244.50
DPS: 1,597.21

Effective HP: 92,398 (Eve: 78,586)
Tank Ability: 858.86 DPS

Spare everyone the long fitting post, fitting a Mach is not rocket science; guns, gyros, TE-II, TC-II, MWD... fill in the blanks

Not overheated just 6%x2 and a set of 4 sentries, depending on what I am fighting.

Edit: Made me curious so I turned in heat,
Volley Damage: 5,887.17
DPS: 1,800.79
