Caldari Scientist killed in bungled Republic Security Service covert operation

Plausible Deniability!

Republic Security Service covert operatives resort to numerous activities to raise funds, as official funding for covert and black operations creates a dangerous paper-trail for those organisations.

One such operation today, involved the sale of a "Bio-Weapon", invented by a Caldari scientist, to an unidentified buyer.

The bio-weapon did not work, though the Covert agents distributed mis-information that it worked better than expected, in order to bump the price on the black market.

This attracted the attention of the Guristas, who killed both the scientist and the prospective buyer, leaving the RSS holding the defective bio-weapon, and a large sum of ISK.

The agents personal take of ISK was large enough, that they engaged in multi-million ISK gambling!

In the murky world of covert operations, the truth is hard to see!
