Ive got pretty bad luck with eve and its RNG overall, but after expansion its so bad that theres really no point trying to - i was simply asking if this is just a particularly bad spell of luck which i always assume first or if t2 wreck drops have been reduced to force the exploration side of things.

Not exploration, building.

T2 ship changes will be coming next, and it's clear that CCP wants them to be quite expensive to use. If folks can salvage well, it won't be.

Indeed.
There is a clearly a movement within CCP to close the gap significantly between T1, T2, and T3 ships.
We are looking at a major nerf of the T3 lines (any time a goon csm member suggests T3's are OP, it is over for that ship), and some HAC's are inferior to their T1 versions.

While I grasp the idea that CCP wants to make the game more palatable to the new players, why CCP is engaging in this "skillacide" (why bother getting T2 ships skills when the T1 version is better) I will never understand.

Apart from the "new players" argument, the progression they have chosen makes sense:

More of the T1 cruisers and frigates were useless than another others.

Additionally, the T2 ships are supposed to be specialised, not necessarily outright better. But you need to define the capabilities of the T1 ships first before you can usefully propose a specialised version.

In a similar vein, it's necessary to finish rebalancing the CS, HACs and Recons before undertaking a rebalance of the Tech 3 ships against the capabilities of CS, HACs and Recons.

Also by boosting T1 ships, CCP reduced the demand for moongoo and increased the demand for bulk low end minerals. Naturally they did this to disguise and obfuscate the puppet-mastery of the omnipoent nullsec cartel.

Reward?!?!?! See, this is the problem with this game lately: everyone expects to get something for doing something.

Get over it. Go kill some more pods in Auga, and be happy.

CCP is doing what Blizzard did with the talent changes, and what SOE did with the EQII Fighter 2.0 changes -- changing them completely. It will mean some ships will be OP until they figure out what they want to do with the T2s.

Speciality ships should be good at what it does, so I'm not upset with the pending changes, but the T3 label is weird if it'll remain (as higher numbers folks associate with better gear).

If it is consitant (sic) doesn't that make it deliberate on CCP's part? Thus making it business as usual.
