Missile Damage Notifications and Targets Blowing up Before Missiles Have Hit...

Anyone else notice damage notifications are displayed and on final blow the target blows up while missiles are still in flight?

I hate watching my missiles flying into the wreck of the ship they've just destroyed before actually hitting itEvil

Any chance this will ever get fixed?

Is it worth bug reporting it?

Any dev care to comment?

I get that too, on both Sisi and TQ.

It's happened like this fairly consistently since I began playing. It is annoying if I pay attention to it so I just try to brush it off and look for a new target as the previous one goes pop.

The messages are server-related. That means that server-wise your missile has hit.

The misiles in your screen are client-side missiles. So they hit when the client thinksthey've hit, but the real time is server managed.

This is very noticeable and highly immersion-breaking when using cruises at targets less than 5km away.

Like watching the target explode as soon as you press F1 before your missiles have even launchedEvil

Sorry if this is threadomancy, but cruises at targets 5km away? I somehow doubt that they were designed with that kind of range in mind.

I also notice that with turrets. I use lasers so it's fairly easy to see that the target blows up then my lasers fire and turn towards it. Kind of irritating Ugh

I find it irritating too. Please sort it, even if delaying my client to explode the ship along with the final volley as it should appear.

How hard would it be to fix this? to delay the client displaying the ship destruction until the final blow has impacted and detonated>

It would look so much more realistic seeing the missile explosions culminating in a big ship explosionBear

I always thought missiles were server sided and that's why destiny (right?) hates them.
