Starter packs duh!!!

Okay, i just started playing eve and i made use of the rather nice 3 month deal, plus the starter pack.

However upon redeeming the items, i noticed something funny,
It includes the following:
Electronics skillbook
Navigation skillbook
Mechanics skillbook
Spaceship Command skillbook
Engineering skillbook
Gunnery skillbook

And i might have missed 1 or 2.

Uhm..... i don't wanna sound ungrateful or anything, but those skills are all base skills you already have to begin with.
Was this actually thought through?

Does it matter? No matter which answer you choose it paints CCP in unflattering light. Either they're incompetent/lazy or they're intentionally trolling their customers.

I looked up this starter pack and it's special offers coming with it and i must say, if i could get this special offer on my account, i'd do it too.

I mean the 3 months of game-time for less than 30 Euro's is good value if you ask me.
I'd stop buying PLEX for 3 months and be able to save up a lot of iskies that way.

What i mean to say is, CCP.... maybe such a special offer is in order for your more loyal player-base? twinkle twinkle :P

The more loyal player-base is already addicted and if such deals bring new pilots, you can scam them out of their abundant ISK with the good old scams this player-base is aware of.

I actually went for the Minmatar kit, since i spent a day looking at what i want to do and the Scimitar seems to be the best at it.
Not that the starter pack helped out that much in this regard.

re-subbing after 5 years down time, i did not have the following skills:

missile launcher operation
electronics
navigation
social

so yes. these starter packs do help archaic accounts get skills they need to actually be competent, as they once were not all granted magically at character creation like new character now.

Ahum, well you have to tell me your secret, cause as far as i know, returning accounts, do not get the starter pack, but rather the Gnosis as a special and some reduction off of sub price.

You should sound ungrateful, because that's just taking the ****. CCP at least give them something that's actually worth something.
