Issues, Workarounds & Localization

So, I'll likely bug report this too, but there are a few small issues I've noticed that while not huge in themselves, add up to being kinda "hrmph".

So I'm making this thread to keep them all.

1. When using the new hacking interface (which is pretty cool, to be honest) there is sometimes a lag between clicking the node and when the client registers and animates the node being clicked.

2. When scooping the hacking loot, there is an icon that pops up next to the HUD that shows what type of loot you scooped, this overlays on top of the readout that displays your ships stats in ratio form (shields - 100%, armor - 100%, etc) and looks a mess.

3. General lag/stutter in the gate transitions. Sometimes they are smooth and beautiful (I don't know why some people can't figure out that you can turn off the exit camera sway, silly people), other times they stutter, or pause so that you get a nice view of part of the gate you went through as you jump, or you get a blank grey/maroon screen for a few seconds until the jump finishes.

4. I've had this happen once so far, but after coming out of a wormhole, the camera freezes and is unable to move/resize. The game functions as normal, but the camera sticks as is. Restarting the client fixed the issue.

5. Various lag in the UI between when a module is clicked, and when the module cycles, it also happens in the overview at times.


By and large since upgrading, the experience hasn't been bad (I recommend windows 8 to anyone who isn't afraid of change and the scariness of a hidden start button), EVE is more or less the same, if not just a slightly less bit optimized, which, to be honest is expected since support for the OS was just announced.

Now, the cool thing might be a EVE app for windows 8...that would be swank.
