Question are you freezing and running Mac Mail?

Ok I just noticed that 'sometimes' when I get a new mail message and running Eve, I get an instant crash. Could this be the magical hard to catch freeze?

The freeze is not a crash. The freeze is when the client no longer updates the screen image and stops accepting input from the keyboard or mouse. But it keeps running. I had 2 clients running while ice mining and one froze. With the other I could see the ship of the frozen client happily mining away. I waited until its hold was full (the laser turned off) then force quit and restarted the frozen client. It did indeed have a full hold of ice. ( I waited as the frozen client was the fleet commander and I wanted to continue getting boosts.)

That's what is so odd about the freeze. The client and server are still communicating, and your ship is still operating. You just cannot interact with the game.

That said, I get the occasional freeze and do not use mac mail. But it is known that any internet activity can cause a freeze, torrents being the worst offenders.

I haven't found any rhyme or reason to it either, it's getting incredibly frustrating though. I think I'm just going to have to boot into Boot Camp as much as it pains me.
