Clarification on rookie ships

Are normal rookie ships considerd as frigates for 2pts or are they seperate?

Normal rookie ships are not eligible for ATXI

Honest question, would you foresee any reason to use the normal Rookie Ships at 2 points considering that you have the full selection of normal frigates at that cost?

my main reason for asking was if it was 2 points wouldnt bother as you said other frig type options, by if they were 1 point then i can see a use for them.

But as they not aloud its kind of a moot point lol

If a team had an 11 man 99 point setup it has a massive use :P Co-incidentally we have a 11 man 99 point setup!!!
