Eve crashes in between launcher and character screen

Ok so i was playing fine this morning then all of a sudden eve crashed and crashed my computer....... had do disconnect and reboot launched the launcher and voila after the launcher page it again crashed my computer. Sooooo i decided to install a new client as i guessed maybe something had become corrupted....One hr or so later i launch eve again and guess what?!? It crashed at the exact same bit and made anything else i try to do safari, finder anything slow and stuttery....i am now on my third install and nothing seems to be working any ideas on how to rectify this??

I have this problem too, and I have a crappy workaround.

Load the EVE Launcher, click the little wrench in the top right, go to EVE Client Settings, click "Clear user specific client settings."

This workaround really sucks because it resets all your window, overview, shortcut, video, channel settings, etc etc to be just like a new client. But it works. I'm finally to the point that I'm so sick of it that I'm setting out to find others with the issue and see if there is a proper fix. Will let you know if I find something.

I've been recieving this problem for over a month and the only resolve I have had to do to continue playing EVE on mac is by creating multiple EVE client clones.

I still keep my normal non-cloned client for updates etc but I run EVE off the clones, I duplicate the libery folder for each clone so I can continue playing EVE.

This problem has happened for such a long time, reinstalling will not work or anything.

btw after I did this I had to reset PRAM for a different issue I was getting on my computer, none of my client clones have became curruped or broken since. But my main EVE client remains dead and I can only use it for installing new patches.

Use the Clone Maker to create EVE client clones. Create multiple EVE clones and make each libery folder the same as another for each clone. Then reset PRAM and your client clones for some reason do not crash anymore. Your main client will remain corrupted and unusable, just use it for installing eve patches.

I'll actually make a video for the solution tonight if I get the time. I feel I should use my time for something useful Big smile

I tried downloading the Clonemaker 2 times but i get error when i try to open it. Any1 have a clue why? First Mac i own btw so i'm far from pro on it.
