I don't think any of us expected the Paladin changes to take this long. I was thinking it would be like the Vargur or Kronos, just a small tweak somewhere to give it a bit of a different look. Now that its taking ages, I'm wondering if its a totally different design than the Apocalypse?

I guess all us fans can do is wait patiently for our new Über Paladin Of Doom.

lets just say i had to remodel 60% of the ship

Does it have some spinning bits? Twisty bits? Fractal designs so that it is infact infinitely sized?

Wow, 60%? That's quite a lot of remodeling. I anticipate the Paladin being quite the sexy, beastly-looking.. well.. beast. Is it unreasonable to hope it hits SiSi in the next few weeks?

In very very very old threads from around the time of Retribution being on Singularity or so, I seem to recall you saying you wanted to remodel the Moa. Or was it the Blackbird? Anyway, you mentioned there being multiple "ugly ships" you wanted to redesign. Have you been able to work on any of them? No details needed, just a vague yes or no will do.

Last question: Is the Golem next?

Moas and Typhoons are to be remodeled next. This isn't even negotiable.

They have become USABLE with the last updates (Hybrid/T1cruiser update for the Moa, Battleship/Cruisemissile update for the Typhoon). Now they just need to look like they come from a 2010+ game Sad

This thread is about the Super Paladin

After this long I expect nothing less than Tempest hull sections welded to the front and sides.

Hm, I refused to fly the golem or raven variants because that silly lop-sided asymmetrical shape gives me a headache. If you look closely, the golem doesn't even fly straight, its center of rotation is off to the right side. I like the golem, but omg, can't stand to look at it. Make it symmetrical, and you will hear a cheer from me!

OMG, its not a trashcan! Go watch old Star Trek, the episode called "Doomsday Machine". That's all I see when I look at the Typhoon.

So upon asking him if it's possible to see the Paladin on SiSi in mid-July, our revered CCP BunnyVirus replied:

I suppose it's fair to say I expected that.

Another CCP then chimed in with a comment about "summer vocotions" which quickly devolved into discussing vacations and vocations and busman's holidays.

Please, is the Sin model up for review?

If the Sin looks identical to the dominix with the exception of coloration, then it's safe to assume they're going to at least tweak it to differ from its T1 counterpart... at some point.

It was the same with all T2 ships. They broke the trend when they released the new stealth bomber models in Inferno.

Go back and look at the AFs though. Those differ from their T1 versions. My Cheetah looks different from my Probe.

You're right about the AFs, I forgot about those. And yeah, the Cheetah is a slightly different model from the Probe. The interceptors are different too. I think for the rest of the T2 ships this does hold true though.

Actually Cheetah is a covert ops, just like the bombers, and not an AF.

Did anyone say that the Cheetah is an AF? Also, the Stealth Bombers are quite distinct from CovOps ships, and were dramatically remodeled only because of the torpedo launchers getting models that wouldn't fit on the old SB hulls.

I just now finished a sweep of all the ships in the game. There are ships in every size classification (except BC) that look different when compared to their T1 versions. However, there are also a lot that look identical except for paint.
