Did Anyone have a good suggestion to fit a drake for solo lvl 4 security missions? Pirate

Don't?

Why lvl 4's in a drake?

Cos you can :- any popular tanky fit can run a lvl 4 but it takes sodding ages to complete them.

For isk and drake is all you fly :- fit for max DPS and blitze through lvl 3's.

That is the Way, the Tao.

Balance is everything.

If you enjoy doing lvl 4 missions at a snails pace then yes use a drake, otherwise use a proper lvl 4 mission ship, RNI, SNI, Raven, Golem or even a Tengu for blitzing.

Using purger rigs, LSE II's, and hardeners, a decently-skilled battlecruiser pilot can tank up a Drake enough to survive the incoming fire of an L4 mission, but it won't be ablel to bring enough offensive firepower to bear to efficiently clear the mission. You've got to balance firepower, defenses, and mobility in an L4, and generally that means sacrificing one of the three to maximize the others. Tanky battleships like the Maelstrom, SNI, and Rattlesnake sacrifice mobility for heavy tank and firepower; the Machariel and the Tengu sacrifice raw tank for mobility and firepower. The standard Drake isn't quite able to maximize two at the expense of one; you really only get to pick one of the three, and that's not good enough for an effective L4 mission runner.

The advice you've been given is sound - don't use a Drake for Lvl 4s. This fit however will chew through Lvl 3s:

[PVE - Active (HML)]
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System
T2 Ballistic Control System

Gistum A-Type Medium Shield Booster
Gist A-Type Thermic Dissipation Field
Gist A-Type Kinetic Deflection Field
Republic Fleet Target Painter
Imperial Navy Medium Capacitor Booster,Navy Cap Booster 800
Gistum A-Type 10MN Afterburner

Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Heavy Missile Launcher II,Scourge Fury Heavy Missile
Drone Link Augmentor II

Medium Warhead Flare Catalyst II
Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst II
Medium Warhead Rigor Catalyst II

Drones_Active=Hobgoblin II,5

You can adjust the booster and resists to suit your pocket. I can't see how you'll get more paper and applied DPS out of a Drake with HMLs than this TBH.

im being told that the navy drake is what u need in order to ressurect the old 4's drake. If its true or not i am not sure i was lucky enough to train past it by the time the changes went thru.

I do admit it would suck for new players now but likewise i accept that i was doing something that i shouldn't really have been able to pull off so easily.

thats horrible and that should be able to do a level IV easily. but not even worth the price tbh a t2 tengu could do it faster.

No, the fit is awesome sauce and it works really well for Lvl 3s, but for Lvl 4s it's too slow. You'd know this if you'd used it instead of spouting sh*t in the forums...

A Tengu might be able to go faster, but that's a ton more training. It makes more sense to go from a standard BC to a BS. A Tengu doesn't compare to an RNI now.

Hornet II x5

398 passive defence vs serpentis, 369 DPS with missiles only.

I would only ever use a drake for level 4s that had rats weak to kinetic damage like guristas and serpentis. Guristas hardeners actually gives it 464 defence.
