As a returning old school player there has been no bigger challenge than trying to fit a Loki.

Battleclinic has been useless and the forums have had very fews fits that seem to make sense to me. I feel like people are trying to do way too much with this ship and it compromises the build.

A friend of mine is a very skilled (both in points and gameplay) Tengu pilot. The plan for me is to scan down 2 or 3 systems and then use our T3's to clean up the discovered combat sites.

I already sank money into purchasing the ship, so I'd like to make it work. I wouldn't mind a cloak on here but I don't feel its necessary when riding with a Tengu in low sec space we have bookmarked to sh%t.

Here's how I purchased it:

Rigs:
3x Med Trimark Armor Pump I

Subs:
Immobility Drivers
Power Core Multiplier
Turret Concurrence Registry
Fuel Catalyst
Adaptive Augmenter

This yeilds 6 Highs, 4 Mids, 6 Lows. No drone space.

It's set to Armor Tank but with such better Shield Resists I'm questioning if I should scrap the whole setup and start fresh? I'd hate to slow this thing even further with plates. As it stands the EHP is 15k.

Again. This will be a low sec DED/Combat site boat and most of the time I'll be with an excellent, stacked Tengu so the quality of this fit needs to be simple and effective since we'll be able to tear through these sites together.

My character has 38m SP so I have solid all around combat stats with the ability to fit just about anything on this.

Would appreciate any help or direction you could give me.

friend and i spent weeks developing a Loki for us to tag team ded8 and 10 sites. It came out to this.

425 II x6
Arbalest HAM

Gistum c-type medium shield booster
Shield boost amp 1/2
Gist c-type thermic hardener
Gist c-type kinetic hardener
Republic fleet 10mn afterburner

Gyrostabilizer x3
Tracking enhancer x1

Projectile scoping array
Adaptive shielding
Tactical targeting network
Fuel catalyst
Augmented capacitor reservoir

Now I'm on vacation so I'm doing this off the top of my head so one or two things may be off, namely the subsystems but it should be pretty close. Should be cap stable with around 650 dps or so. Easily solos a 10/10 but the last structure could use some friends or will take forever.

Yikes, very expensive. I guess I could go t2 versions of that and be ok.

In general, is the Loki a shield ship over armor?

It's pretty much both.

And T3's are mostly as good because they're "yikes, very expensive" fitted.

For pve stuff shield lokis will usually be better because of the low slot availability for damage and tracking mods. Anyways, this will cost you some initially but the chances of losing this are next to nil if you travel with a cov ops travel fit and check dscan or local often. This fit DOES NOT work with pure t2 mods. You will be way out of cap stability, move significantly slower and have less than half the tank. It really is worth it. Either way this fit should be under 700 mil iirc which is low for a properly fit pve t3.

Solo? Asking because the OP is talking tandem.

I'm training a Loki right now and have no idea what to do with it.Roll
