Regarding the undock button

I fail to see why the position of the undock button has been changed, at least the reason for it.

Most cultures read from left to right as far as I know so the original position is the best place to put it, with the 'enter ship hanger' button just above it of which there is plenty of room on the left task bar to put the said button.

Sure it can be seen as a minor alteration but I still fail to see the purpose of moving it.

I'm fairly sure the point was to group the station undock button with the station services.

I turned my monitor around to face the wall so its back on the left side. Strangely my PvP skills seem to have also improved.

Maybe so, but I don't really see a reason why that would be necessary as it's more an action than a station service.

Because :ccp:

De'Veldrin's Corollary (to Malcanis' Law): Any idea that seeks to limit the ability of a large nullsec bloc to do something in the name of allowing more small groups into sov null will inevitably make it that much harder for small groups to enter sov null.

I don't mind where the undock button is.

What i mind is the absence of animation or loading bar when i click it.

That makes me click it again and abort the undock, only realizing that seconds after.

In the meanwhile i die of old age.

This ^^

To be honest, it was a small change. The only reason it is a PITA is due to Muscle Memory.

In order to counteract that effect, you need to log on and just dock and undock in a station about 1000 times. That will erase the programming and overwrite it with new code. I suggest Jita at peak EU TZ.

But most cultures that read left to right also read top to bottom. The button is on the top right so naturally you should find it before finding it on the bottom left. P

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

True, but if looking at a column you tend to look down the column first.

CCP needs to add 4 new places for the undock button be be in, and randomly switch between them every time you dock.

Oh just shut the **** up already. Jesus. It's a button. Who gives a crap where it is. There must be more worrisome things in your life generally then where the undock button is in a computer game, surely.

Change is hard eh? Smile

They are all buttons used to interact with the station or items in the station.

I guess you've not noticed all the colored lights flashing and noise that occurs as soon as you hit the undock button. Smile

Change for the sake of change is just unproductive and said change is just that.

My mouse cursor naturally nests on the right side of my screen... not buying the "read left to right" argument.
