wouldnt it be awesome you could take your isk from your wallet and put it in your hangar or a can or something?

1. fun for the booster/drug sell and buy when that feature getz looked at (walk in station idea)

2.money laundering as the concord would enforce that everyone is doing legal business.

3. harder to get money to null/low and more for pirates to shoot

this is a good idea that has a bunch of bad things that could happen so go on and hate this thread Twisted

You think destructible plex caused an uproar...

But I am all for this idea Big smile

Edit: In interest of full disclosure, I'm for it becuase cheap carebears would try to avoid taxes by carrying their isk around in their un-tanked industrials... Twisted

I like the idea of being able to see MOUNTAINS of ISK in my captain's quarters.

But this is the future, I'm sure the money is 100% digital. It's nearing that in the modern world, even.

Save the drones!

This is good idea. But not to the Sci-fi game. Gold in the pocket in EVE a very strange thing. Plex is enough.

I support this idea wholeheartedly. This would add a pretty damn interesting dynamism to the game.

I could envision some PC factions hosting "arena" games where people take part to fight yourself to a reward (say, a zillion ISK in a large can) hidden somewhere in a system, where taking part would actually cost money, surrounded by warp inhibitor fields and lots of seriously mean defenses. It could get ugly.

Against this idea.
Imagine a new player that leaves protected starter systems being ganked by griefers (i'm sure there will be some) and loses both his ship and all his isk at same time.
You will lose ability to send/recieve ISK to/from your friends, mates and trade partners if any.
It will create a lot of problems for traders in hubs as well.

Opinions are like assholes. Everybody got one and everyone thinks everyone else's stinks.

I don't really see the point, either, tbh... digital future and all that. I don't see much in the way of gameplay benefits either.

On the other hand, I don't really have anything against the idea, and I can't imagine that it'll take too much in the way of development.

In addition, if credsticks are a part of Cyberpunk/Shadowrun (even with their digital economy), there's no real reason not to use them here.

Actually... I've just thought of something good. ISK, as a digital currency, like digital currency today, is pretty much an illusion. It's just an agreement between the various banks, countries etc. In EVE, the ISK-dream would only really be "present" in Empire (and maybe) lowsec. In null, ISK wouldn't exist. It's not like the Empire has a presence out there allowing you to transfer between accounts, after all.

Thinking about it, I'm totally for the idea of "manual" or "itemized" ISK. That should be the currency of exchange in WH's, null (and possibly) lowsec.

Hell yeah.

Change LP to tradable faction currencies..

Thus making the importance of actually shipping money around valid.

Lots of new gameplay and a nice olution to existing poor LP trade options.

Current ISK mechanics allows CCP to keep track of ISK exchange.

do you think they will change that?

well i think it would not be hard to have a filter in the system that keeps track of an item ingame whereever it is

Isk transfer to trial accounts was blocked to avoid ISK laundry from illegal transactions, making ISK an inventory item could allow exploits in different ways.

Personally I'd like to see a pile of my ISK in my CQ ... XD

We used to have ISK in our hangar :/...
I cant remember how it got there, but I had a large stack for a while ;).. Then ccp locked it so it couldn't move, then they removed it...

It's a bit silly to think that currency in the future wouldn't be 100% digital. Buy GoldMercoxit to secure you ISK
