While infoing Shadow of xxDeathxx in regards to any wardecs I noticed the one pilot ( 1 ) corporation "The Orchestra" has wardec Shadow of xxDeathxx alliance.

My question - is this done by the alliance to use the game mechanics to make it more expensive for a real enemy to wardec ?

Sounds like a passive-aggressive thread to accuse an alliance of using an exploit but, of course, this is EVE. That's just not the done thing at all, amiright? Roll

I'm really curious..if it is an alt i'd be doing the same thing so i can't really accuse them of doing much.

I am genuinly trying to understand the economics of warfar and what drives those mass groupings to finally declare war. As far as i can see ( i roam hostile 0.0 every day ) nothing at all is going to happen till after the expansion. It's gotten so pilots don't even chase me.

It could be that he wardeced them to be able to pop their haulers going in and out of highsec and stuff like that, I've heard of wardecs like that happening.

TBH, I think that's what wardecs should mostly be, a means to interrupt the enemy's supply lines in highsec, rather than a way to grief carebear corps or pad killboards, but that's not really relevant to this thread.

Last time I looked, E-Uni had themselves wardecced by 22 corps, this must be the infamous "dec shield" we've been hearing about.

There are no exploits regarding dec shields, corp hopping, alliance hopping or anything else now. Was announced a few weeks back by one of the GMs here.

CCP gave up trying to enforce the rules - especially regarding dec shields. Doesn't take a genius to work out why Roll

If that's the case, then why not just make it a game mechanic to be able to pay concord the same price as all of these alts in other corps to raise the Wardec price on a corp/alliance? what would be the diffrence?

95% of the players are loving EVE, the other 5%? On the forums.

none, hence why make it a mechanic
