Is it just me or is the launcher mostly working?

Initially the launcher just didn't work. Then it started working when patched. Then when I cleared the cache. Now it just seems to work for me as much as the launcher works in general (high cpu, failure to shutdown) I'm generally running the latest version of wine from the PPA on the latest Ubuntu.

Former forum cheerleader CCP, now just a grumpy small portion of the community.

I'm finding the launcher is working at present. Patching takes a few shots, gets there in the end.

I always launch the game with ExeFile.exe, but when there's a patch (as is often the case these days!), it asks to download/install it, I agree, and proceeds to patching everything it needs to patch AND launch the launcher, then continues from there.

So far, it always worked without a problem...

can confirm that the launcher is working. There is some stuff missing and it looks like ****. But all the functionality seams to be there.
