difficult to approach research and development lab cans for hacking

Second time this is happening. I am in an abandoned research complex dg018 and when trying to approach the research and development can i seem to keep bumping into an invisible wall making it very difficult to get below the 5k range to hack.

I don't remember which site was the first, but it always seems to be the same can type which is R&D
