Since the latest updates (starting with oddessey i think) I am no longer able to start the client. Reinstalling the game has worked once and I was able to start the client once. After closing the client I was not able to open it again.

Using the repair tool does not work.

running as admin or in xp compatability does not work.

I bought 10 plex after playing for 1 month just before the problems started occuring, and not to pleased about it.

Pressing the .exe file does nothing, clicking play in steam does nothing. Downloading an installer from the ccp website and installing this on a separate drive and trying to launch with the exe file does nothing.

does nothing: means that no program is launched, no process started up, no error message, nothing.

I have no antivirus installed and my network is configured correctly.

and no its not downtime, unless the launcher does not launch when the server is down, and unless the server has had dayly maintenance since may.

Update:

/bin/ExeFile.exe works, so I can run this exe file without problems.

however when I need to update to a newer client the launcher.exe file is called and then nothing happens.

I seem to have solved this by going to /launcher/cache/updater.exe and run this manually.

Will see if it still works after next update
