Which hardware EVE Online like?

Good day, Sirs and Ladies.

Curious, which hardware EVE Online prefer?
At this moment, I have i7 3820, HD 7990 and 32Gb RAM, and then i running 10 windows with decent graphic settings (1900x1200) and just feel some lag. Like something is operating at the limit.
What should I change to let more windows work easy in same time with decent graphic settings?
Dual CPU? More cores? More Mhz? What does EVE like.
I have dual Opteron computer with 24 cores, but at just 2.6Ghz and it will be not so convenient to check it myself, because OS there is server one and no VGA card and everything looks like it take much time to check and I still have big chance what it does not work (because games like Ghz's). But it's possible to chose dual socket Xeon motherboard as next upgrade.
Logic suggests what I will get benefits from more cores in this case, because as I remember you even can define specific cores to specific process in Windows. But anyway I want to be more sure, before I will make expensive upgrade.

Thank you.

PS And VGA card, as I know EVE is "The Way It's Meant to Be Played" and not so "Gaming Evolved". But I seen not only one issue regarding Nvidia drivers + EVE or other topics regarding Nvidia graphic cards and EVE. Do I have to change my VGA card manufacturer or not?

PS2 Sorry if i post my thread in wrong folder, I didn't find anything more suitable

Had a tough time reading this, but lemme see if I got this right...

Are you saying you are running 10 EvE clients simultaneously? What are you doing that requires 10 clients to be running simultaneously? Shocked

Some people take the meta-gaming too seriously. What?

You make a valid point, good Sir or Madam.

I do not the same things with you :)
And question still actual.

I would sugest second VGA card and them in Crossfire.

Yes I know ATi 7990 is a Crossfire on one board. But that does not mean you cant have two of them. Provided you have strong enough GPU.

I read about 7990 CF, but looks like in some games you may not get any advantage at all. It was bad news and for some time I even think to sold this one and get 690, but later I decide to keep it as is. And I still think about it as idea for upgrade, but my "lag" I got looks more like "total computer slowdown" not like lack of GPU power.

And thank you for your post.
I just more looking for answer about dual cpu or more cores.

Works fine on an AMD Phenom II X4 965, 16GB RAM and MSI GTX460.

12 windows if I am not wrong. Not all windows full screen.
Which graphic settings are you using?

max on primary, low on everything else

would say your gfx card is most likely the bottleneck if you run all on full. for better overall performance might help if you assign cores to individual clients too rather than sharing as afaik the client doesn't do threading that well.

Im pritty sure EVE client still uses just one core.

Correct me if Im wrong.

Cores make very very little different. Go for raw speed. Alternatively, do what any sane hardware lover does and check their relative benchmarks and price/performance ratios on a website somewhere.

Also 32GB of RAM seems like massive overkill even for 10 clients. Make sure your ram has a high processing Hz (the performance increase above 1600MHz is negligible, ignore anything higher), because with 32GB of memory, the volume of memory really isn't that important any more.

Also, convert to nVidia. Do eet. I recommend the new GTX 770, it looks incredible.

2Chribba, fun, but I didn't find how to do it in Win8 :) Anyway I will check.

And about performance, I just did test. 12 windows, graphic settings high, only AA is low.
PC almost dying. To be sure I didn't minimize windows to task bar. I see 9-12fps on other monitor now. And everything working really slowly, even Skype window take time to minimize and back again.
But Win8 task manager show me only 35% cpu load and 102% of max frequency (have no ideas what does it mean)

2Arduemont: Yes, you right, currently i see only 15Gb used. According to Windows information. And if 7990 does not satisfy myself - 770 will also will not :) Probably must look for 690 or Titan. Memory is 1600 "gamer" series memory.
