It merely demonstrates how much local armor repair effectiveness is coming from links. I hope CCP will move some of it to the armor repair itself so without links you will get around 750DPS tank while with links you stay at 1000DPS tank.

Regardless of how effective local armour rep becomes, it would still leave the Gallente bc pigeon-holed into a tiny role. The point of the discussion is to expand their roles by giving one of them a different bonus; armour repair effectiveness (and the AAr particularly) is a whole other can of worms worthy of several more threads if that's what it takes to get it fixed a bit more.
