How i can log in test server ? I HATE NEW LAUNCHER !!!!!!

I have problem with enter to test server: Downloading launcher update.

I copy live client, then do repair. then run with /server:Singularity.
and haa this problem: Downloading launcher update and nothing.

WHAT I NEED TO DO !!! wtf i hate you new launcher. who cr8 it BURN IN HELL !!!!!!!

Dude calm down..

Some of us use the IP address of Singularity for the launcher to know what server to use:

ex: C:\Temp\EVE\eve.exe /server:87.237.38.50

It also requires doing something other than complaining. A far more sacrilegious thing to ask, indeed.

However, as long as CCP Atropos is possibly within 14.4 AU of this thread, any chance we can get the Repair tool updated so that running it doesn't throw my launcher back to a completely outdated version? Running the launcher after using the repair tool only to find that I have to download the launcher I thought I just repaired.. yeah.

I just runned into the same problem.Somehow both solutions are not working with the ip wthou the ip and the /serber singualry command tooo.What should i doQuestionQuestionQuestionShocked

i was doing fine until todays update, i have this same issue op was having. but mine got so borked i cant even get it to give error messages anymore, the launcher just dies.

i didn't change a thing on the sisi installation, just started the client from the exefile.exe got the patch message, cancelled it exited client and ran the launcher to update. it just gets stuck showing "downloading launcher update".

if i bypass the launcher and dl the patch on its own installer directly from the client, it destroys the installation. to the point not even the repair utility fixes it anymore.

please don't tell me this is a new launcher update, if it is, might want to hold back on release a few more... months.

Which launcher version are you running? Some older versions of the launcher may have trouble giving appropriate feedback on the launcher update phase.
Did you pin the launcher to your Taskbar and start it from there? There is a known issue where Windows sets a shortcut to the wrong executable if you pinned the running process to the Taskbar (pinning the start menu item to the taskbar works just fine).

welll, it says that the Singularity Server havnt had a singel player on it since around 6:00 this morning, i can start the launcher but my problem is that it keeps saying: "Checking status..."

I'm just having a problem having my character entered into the list for the test server.

I haven't run into any major complications, as of yet.

I think I have been having the same problems, even without being a techy or seeing your logs.

I also found a way around it all, but it involves downloading the sisi executable and 2 large payload files. But that's not all! launcher is still borked in them. So read on. Find them here- http://community.eveonline.com/support/download/test-servers/

After you instal this to a custom folder keep the 3 files incase anything goes wrong.

Then! before you start, delete the whole 'launcher' folder in new sisi install. Copy the 'launcher' folder from tq folder and paste it into the new sisi folder. This is because for some reason there is a problem with the launcher in the offline installer which causes another exception trying to update itself. o0.

After doing that and changing your command line on eve.exe shortcut .. go! start it and the launcher should update itself and then check files game files which should not need patching.

This all worked for me anyway, good luck!

and by the way, using the repair after trying to update from tq as we previously both have done I guess .. tries to patch it back to tq .. causing some other problem with eve.exe, apparently you need to create a shortcut for that too.. for sisi. --server=sisi found on singularity eve wiki page.
However with my work through you shouldn't need repair)

or you or your boss could make a post saying that the exe file in the bin directory wont go away, ever.

That way you could toy around with a new launcher that nobody wants, while the rest of us can be assured that we will be able to log in in the future like we used to. :)
