I have a good chuckle any time I am called a carebear. Thing is, you will find many so-called pvp'ers with carebear Alts in highsec. They make the most fuss about eve players who are carebears. So ironic.

I'm PvE all the way, so are most other players. I play everything Eve has to offer and throws at me. Missions, Exploration, Warfare, Trading, whatever. It's all Eve. PVE is Player versus Eve. PvP is only a small part of PVE, it focuses on one aspect of it so really, players who say that all they do is PvP are themselves not playing Eve, but they claim the opposite is true for carebears.

If you don't PvE, you're not playing Eve. PvP alone is too small a part of this Universe.

So yeah, I'm a PvE carebear if that's what you call it. Quite frankly, I don't give a damn about names, just show me the results.
I guess a new title then is being called a "Peever". Nice ring to it, sounds like "beaver" which can be taken to "gopher". Yeah. I'm a Peever for sure. What are you ?

Fly safe and prosper (no matter how you define and do it).

I think I just lost a few IQ points after that "beaver" thing Thorn....

so, if PVE is player vs. EVE ... you're player vs. everyone vs. everyone? seems a bit redundant, dontchathink? Cool

Plain and simple, there is VERY LITTLE "PvE" content. The vast majority of the real content in EVE is the player interaction, be it combat or market PvP or working together to build an Orca or an Obelisk or whatever.

Don't be so narrow-minded to consider that the PvP (Player vs. Player) interaction is limited to combat ...

One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia

Vel I know your speaking froma good perspective, but seriously look at the objectivity here.... Your saying that those who arent competitng in some way or another shouldnt ven play EVE, your lowering the amount of people who actually would give EVE a chanceby saying this ... I think everyon should feel included and not be vindicated due to their actions I mean this is a game after all its not the be all end all of life... New Eden exists because we want to be apart of it.. what we do with it is our choice. New eden is not full of tyrannical tolitaranists that seek only the benefit of themselves... I am sure in some fashion we PVP i will agree but the point is people are people we dont control the universe anymore than our faith or belief in a higher power does... Everything has its balance and I refuse to believe that those who seek to just sit around in EVE and not PVP shouldnt have that right we are still human not machines... Lets try and be nicer to people because comments like this can and will cause downward spiral to its demise if enough people share this opinion we want EVE to grow and not be stuck with the same 35,000+ individuals so we need to think hollistically and not be selfish individuals... Thats not the way to be nor should it be a way to live... personally... if you want to be bitter take it to CCP and tell them your sob story on how all those who dont PVP should be banned... otherwise let people do what they want... We got freedoms for a reason .. Let us not chatize others because they are different..

this is what a carebear is

If only I could have a skin for my battlecruiser like that 'cloud car'. Imagine the embarrassment of getting popped by that.

Seriously, if a 'carebear' is someone who avoids risk, then I'd suggest (from what I've seen) 99% of so-called PvPers are carebears.

Some guy who mines in lowsec (and therefore taking huge risks) is less of a carebear than the army of can flippers and mission invaders you get in hisec who are deliberately going after weak or unprepared targets.

Never make eye contact with someone while eating a banana.

Some guy who mines in lowsec (huge risk v reward requiring great skill) is less of a carebear than the army of can flippers and mission invaders you get in hisec (low risk v reward requiring minimal skill).
