Of course you are.

We will happily accept nominations from anyone - no matter how vile, barbaric or depraved they may be.

You bring a warm glow to my vile, barbaric, depraved heart.

I wasn't aware we were discussing your fantasies about Dr Char.

Personally all jokes aside (but if there was a chance at all Kazzzi could win I'd back him 100%) I believe a great point was made earlier, and I'd like to make a posthumous nomination to the memory of Raze Valadeus.

The only two people I would have liked to nominate are ones dead and the other has fallen in heresy. Which goes to show you how well you think you know a man. This year is hard on me to nominate someone I shall have to think long and hard praying on the subject.

I am pleased to make the following recommendations:

Amarrian Capsuleer- I nominate Odelya d'Hanguest- for her unswerving Loyalty to God, Empire and Empress, and for instilling righteous zeal amongst those of true Faith through her Book of Prayers.

Loyal Servant- I nominate Nephilim Xeno- for his continued efforts at smiting the enemy, rousing his comrades, and for maintaining efforts that most can only aspire to emulate.

This one nominates Tiberious Thessalonia for Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year. And before you scoff, I remind you:

Quote:
To be presented to the Amarrian, Khanid or Ni-Kunni pod pilot deemed to have achieved the most on behalf of the Empire during the last twelve months.

The Imperial Crusade, the CVA, and affiliated parties have continued to play at the same games over the past year (just as have their oppositional counterparts). The tides have washed in and out again, just as they would have without being ridden by so many angry oarsman splashing around in their rowboats. Individuals have done great deeds, but nothing has come out of these arena that changes the cluster in any significant way.

The other various unconventional Amarrian sects have also stayed the same course as before...stagnating, succumbing to entropy, and accomplishing little of note.

The only thing the Amarrian bloc has really had going for it in the past year is Tiberious, who has been a tsunami in and of himself of cultural and ministerial outreach. While Graelyn and Garreck have been fighting the same battles (both physical and spiritual) as before, while Eran has turned into one of them, and while Vaari has prowled Providence in his goldy, Thessalonia has been moving among the people--believers and non-believers alike--offering solace, comfort, and encouragement the likes of which is truly divine. He had the hard discussions, answered the difficult questions, stood up for the faith, and disseminated it in a way that the rest of the cluster could comprehend and digest. He was the olive branch that reached many hearts and minds who were widely considered to be too hardened to ever hear anything Athra had to say again.

New Eden mourns the rapid demise of the Majesta Institute, and weeps for his defection to the Sansha. Tell me, when was the last time the cluster united in grief over an Amarrian's fall from grace? He has stumbled, yes. But for carrying the torch of Heideran alone for so long, and for everything he has accomplished in the past twelve months, he deserves our respect and our praise. You can choose to recognize him for a lifetime of service or revile him for...the last two days. You can offer him a beacon of hope as he has done for so many others in his life...or shut him out in the dark. To all of us who look at Athra from outside its Empire, Tiberious is already the Amarrian Capsuleer of the Year. It is up to you to deny this or formalize it.

I nominate Friar Kite, for being the only worthwhile Amarrian I currently have close contact with.

"Failed"? You mean being one of the few Emperors who didn't call for out-and-out war against everyone the Amarr didn't like?

Pathetic, Mitara. You are truly pathetic.

The very fact that you think me a heathen incapable of understanding just how far the man has fallen proves that your opinion is questionable.

But that is irrelevant, since the fact that you lash out in such a way at someone contributing nominations to an event at your organization's invitation proves that your rational faculties are a little sparse to begin with. I suggest you stick to baser tasks in God's service...leave the conversation to more capable minds, yes?

Yes, failed. Look at what trying to be peaceful with the barbarians brought upon the Empire - an invasion.

I was under the impression that speaking of an Emperor like that, even a deceased Emperor, is heresy and a grave sin. The Emperor's words are law and divine, I thought... and speaking out against them - whether or not they are failed policies - is an unthinkable act.

Am I misunderstanding?

Amarrian subjects speaking out against a -current- Emperor (or Empress) often end up missing a head.

Amarrian capsuleers have a degree of freedom of speech that non-capsuleers and commoners do not.

Although previous rulers are often treated reverentially, harsh words are sometimes necessary.

Well, he made no real effort to make peace with the Minmatar. Yes, he was a failure, but for the opposite of the reasons you believe - like all Amarrians, he was long on words, short on actions and did not possess the courage, honour or self-knowledge to do the right thing.

Not sure any of you imperial types care about what I think, but I'll say Nicoletta Mithra is worth taking your time to consider. In the time that I've known her, she's shown nothing but concern and care as a friend to me, and despite our cultural differences has always shown respect as one human being to another. We could use more of her kind in space in general, not just in the Empire.

Thanks for your time,
Gyra Rho
