Rare system jump cinematic glitch

Just want to see if anyone has experienced a blank grey screen on rare occasions when they activate a jump gate? The game doesn't crash or anything and everything else appears to work normally, the only thing is that instead of seeing the jump cinematic the screen goes blank grey until I arrive at the system I'm jumping to.

So far, I've only experienced this once and there doesn't seem to be a pattern or steps to reproduce this glitch, so it seems to occur at random.

I've had it, as have several corp mates, it seems to become increasingly frequent the more gates you travel in succession.

I have noticed this, and was actually coming to this forum to post about it.

Actually, what I see happening is the "leaving" transitional cinematic is replaced with the blue-gray screen and the "entering" cinematic starts playing midway thorough. If you notice in between transitions, there is a slight pause--ever so slight--and the cinematic continues. I figure that is the midpoint between both systems and one is playing a "leaving" cinematic and instantly playing a "entering" cinematic into the new system.

Enter grid and you're already dead, destined to be reborn and fight another day.

Is there any particular way to reproduce this at will, all the time? (re: skip the camera swing/into the gate animation)

I have tried, so far it's only happened one time on each of my computers so I really don't have much to go on.

What the two computers have in common is an Intel CPU and Nvidia graphics, but other than that the two systems are about as different as two desktops could be.

Main rig - 5Ghz 2600k, 16gb RAM, GTX 570 SLI
Backup rig - 2.5 Ghz G540 dual core, 4gb RAM, single GTX 460

Has occurred once on both systems.

I get this as well. I sent in a bug report and was told "we can't reproduce it, improve the reproduction steps".

I'm not exactly sure how to improve upon telling someone to jump through a stargate.

Fortunately, a little bit of re-wording and including information that was already sent with the log dump got me a "we've created a new defect with your report".

This happens when you jump from one region to another or to another constellation.

The issue is not enough memory to reproduce the full jump animation, therefore the game represents the jump as a static image with color most matching to the new nebula of system you are jumping to.

Same thing happens with planets or moons, when you are playing for too long, too much memory is suckled away and the client says "That's enoughy, buddy! Time to lower your shinies."
