Out of Pod Experience

There are universes everywhere.

When you think really hard about it. You will visit another world inside of your brain, where you go on hyper aggressive roller coasters through the industrial park. The rollercoaster track will suddenly end and you will be falling through the thick air, Like Auger on a petri dish, chunks of the air will start to be pushed away.

You will come to a crashing, rattling halt. In the middle of the road. On a perfect looking street.

Perfect houses in perfect rows, Perfect picket fences, Perfect cars, Perfect husbands getting out of their immaculate cars, after a day at a job they only do to support their perfect family. You see a car drive slowly by

"Drink Delicious, Refreshing, Coca Cola. Carbonated in Bottles 5c"

The children are playing catch with a football in the road. They move aside as the Coca Cola truck passes.

The people around you are the uncompletes.

One of the wives comes out of the houses and invites you inside.

They were expecting you, The table was set for 5 people despite there only being 4 people in their family.

something about them bother's you. Something empty in their eyes behind their facade of perfection and normalcy.

"Pass The Peas" says one of the boys

in a cheery bright, carefree tone

"Remember your manners" said mother.

The boy didn't look up.

In an instant mother dropped her cheery tone, her face and voice going flat in an instant.

"Remember your manners"

The boy starts crying.

"None of this at the table" Says mother in the same, flat tone as earlier.

Father jumps as if startled and drops his silverware. He begins slowly rocking himself back and forth with his hands in his lap.

Mother starts laughing,

"Stop it Stop it Stop it., I am real" says mother.

"Stop joking, dont say things like that" Says mother, even though nobody is talking. Father starts shuddering violently.

Mother gets up and sprints into the kitchen,moving as if she was diving and clawing her way away from a giant angry mangus that had appeared in the doorway"

She opens a drawer and puts on a pair of pink gloves, She opens her handbag and starts violently smearing candy red lipstick over her lips and face.

"Look at us, we are so beautiful, we are so beautiful, We are complete, really complete, look at us"

Father gets up, and starts to melt, chunks of him slough away onto the floor in a large gray puddle.

"OH HOWARD WHAT ARE YOU DOING?" says mother trying to hold in laughter.

"LOOK AT YOU!"

She starts trying to put Howard back together, She is quite amused at her husband's melting, As if it was a playful joke.

she stops what she is doing, gray liquid covering her hands and all down her dress.

"KIDS, LOOK AT WHAT DAD IS DOING"

"ISN'T THIS GREAT!?!?!"

Says Mother. She grabs the kids by the arms and drags them towards the puddle that used to be Dad. The draw liquid starts to flow in the direction of the kids. Sticking to their shoes

All of a sudden the liquid moves towards the wall, as if guided by a magnet, pulling mother and the children with it

"ITS HAPPENING ITS HAPPENING" Says mother

The fluid sticks them all to the wall and covers them completely.

The dinner table turns to sand and everything in the house starts shaking.

The Sac that is now attached to the wall starts to vibrate It rips open and out walks a perfect clone of yourself. It has the same unnerving empty glaze behind it's cheerful expression.

Compelling and yet disturbing. I think someone has found a vocation. Keep going....
