No worries as I've written its very useful without that feature as well. Was more a question if its possible then if its doable as a new Feature.

Although if its doable as a new Feature even better Pirate

I finally got around to read your feature request.
It's a great idea! I have added an issue to the ToDo List.
I hope to get it done before the next feature release (2.7.0), but, no promises...

Thank you very much for your feedback! :)

First of all I would like to say I love jeveassets. I used to use eve asset manager until it didn't get updated anymore. Very happy to see that someone else carried it on in a way. :)

Second, There is a feature that I would love to see in jeveassets, or if it is there already I can't seem to find it. But in Eve Assets Manager you could have it compile an asset list in htm form, with different sorting options.
>You could have it do a material list + values
>items by location +values

That sort of thing, I really would love to see that happen if I'm making any sense. :P

Anyways, the reason I'm posting.. I'm having a bit of an issue and I'm not sure why. Everyone else seems to be able to run jeveassets completely fine, however when I try and start it up a black box comes up and immediately vanishes.

It says, "Error: Could not find or load main class j:\jEveAssets\jeveassets.jar"

The files and folders are all there, I've made sure that java is up to date as well.

I've deleted the entire contents of the jEveAssets folder, redownloaded the latest version and tried running it again. However I still get the same issue.

Other java programs work fine, so I'm a bit baffled as to what the issue is.

Any suggestions?

*Edit*

I bumped it down to java 7r21 and now it works fine. Heh.

@Tus

Thank you! Happy users FTW :)

Good to hear your got it working again. Java can be a *****, from time to time... Evil

You can already export to html "for most tools™"
1) Press the [Export] button on the toolbar
2) Select Columns and Filters
3) Press [OK]
4) Select location and filename
5) Select "HTML Files" (in the drop-down)
6) Press [OK]
The html file should now be in the location you saved it...

It's very basic html, no stylesheets etc, just plain html.
I made it that way, so people can add their own CSS and it's not obstructed by pre-made stuff

It's not as awesome as Eve Assets Manager, but, it's there.
If you need any extra features to HTML export, please let me know! :)

Thank you very much for your feedback.

I do like the premade stuff, like what Eve Assets Manager had. Would it be possible to have an option for that? Along with a breakdown of where items are/ what categories they are? Along with total value in each section. :3

Sorry for the delayed reply.
I had to think a bit to come up with a good solution...
I have added your request to New Tool: TreeTable Assets
I have also added a new issue for Html styling

Thank you for your feedback and feature suggestions! :)

w00t? You build a future in to delete entries in the Value tracker? Awesome, mate.
I came here to complain that the mouse over effect was broken in the tracker, but somehow it started working again while i wrote this :0

keep up the good work.

The export stuff is almost done and will be in the next feature release.
The Html styling is still on the ToDo list. I will try to get it done as well :)
I will send you a dev build when it's ready, so you can give me some feedback :)

@l0rd carlos
Thank you! :)
I case the mouse over stops working again, you can also double click on the point the show the value (or delete/edit).

Thank you for your feedback :)

Please follow the instructions in the ReadMe.
If that does not work, please make a report bug.

I need the logs to debug it...
A quick Google on the error shows that is some kind of Java Web Start problem, but jEveAssets does not use web start... Sad

still can't get it to work,

also there is no "jeveassets.log" file

Does this work on Windows 7?

Yes, it works on windows 7 (for everyone else...).
I really have no idea what is wrong and why it will not run.
if you already followed the suggestions (re-download jEveAssets and re-install java), I'm pretty much out of ideas.
I will suggest that you clear your web start cache: www.ngs.ac.uk/clearwebstartcache
Other that that, I have no clue. I'm very sorry that I'm unable to help you run jEveAssets... Sad

Does it pop up a black command box for a half second, and closes?

If so, that is what it did for me. What I did was use a slightly older version of java, and that seemed to make it work for me. Maybe give that a shot?
