hi

get rid of all trandig bots very easily

if you wanna make or change an order - a CAPTCHA of 2-3 letters appears and you can make/change orders for a period of time (maybe 30min). After that a new captcha appears. One second more work in 30min and ccp can save a lot of money pay people to hunting bots und all traders are free of bots...

OR we let the bots run wild; evening out buy/sell differentials and better converging on prices that reflect demand.

Only ones who lose are the manual .01'ers, and not a single tear was shed.

These "bots" you speak of may be some the 400k other people who also play Eve. Even 1000+ players at 300 orders each can keep Jita pretty busy. Maybe you should try a slower, less competitive Hub. Like... Rens or Dodixie?

Everyone plays their own game, but if you spend your time high-frequency trading you are unequivocally doing it wrong.

then lets ban the bots instead of ruining the game for every one just to punish a small subset.

in jita are max. 2-3k people, than jita is closed- but bots are illegal -- this is not a thread about "should be bots legal or not". Now they are illegal - so bots should not be in the game by ccp - this is a suggestion to disable the bots. Btw I trade in Jita since 2009 very sucessfull, so i need no proposal how to trade - I have learned to use the bots to make isk - but this is not part of that thread...

trading is to easy to make it impossible to make bots for, literally, its just simple math what computers are great at doing.
Dont nerf or make trading harder by having to look at a damn image..... no one cares, making my experience of eve worst does not make me happy only for damn trading bots, they are not that bad at all they lower the prices making my pvp cheaper

bots don´t make your pvp cheaper - a bot can change every 5 min 0,01 this means 2,88 isk in 24h (24*60/5*0,01). If there are 10 bots its 2,88*10=28,8 isk. So the price is always affected by human traders, because somtimes they don´t go 0,01 above or below.

long-therm the the price depends on demand and offer - thats the same in the whole wolrd...

I've said it before- let the market bots be allowed- make it more like the real world. Perhaps license the market data- more money for ccp and less headache.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

Lol, trading bots. I'm a long time jita trader and can assure you, 99.9% of market activity that looks to you like botting is legit trading. It's not only the 500+ traders online in system, the whole Forge is doing it remotely with Daytrading.

Close, but you have to multiply by the number of traders manipulating the same item (incidentally, a quick google reveals that the standard trading bots don't restrict themselves to .01 increments).

Bots would close the sometimes ridiculous buy/sell gaps, allowing non-neurotic people to simply use buy orders to unload. That's really all other people care about, and the door would still be wide open for long-term trading.

1) Eject Everyone and everything out of the station.
2) Make Jita 0.0.
3) Remove local and overview, as well as any way to know who is in the ship you're targetting
4) ...?
5) PROFIT

Add kinect to EVE. Whenever no person is detected in front of the keyboard the client disconnects. This would also solve afk cloaking.
