Gallentean bureaucratic attitudes hampering the security of the Republic ?

Today, a Minmatar pilot, investigating the disappearance of citizens of a deep space colony in the Pator system, uncovered a slave pen belonging to the Amarr Empire! Less than 8AU from Matar itself !

After contacting the Republic Security Service agent handling the incident, the pilot was told: "I'm afraid I no longer have authority to continue this investigation. Someone higher up the chain of command has been assigned to the case."

Is this adherence to procedure a Gallente influence that the Republic is better off without ?

Residents of the Republic were appalled to hear of this slave pen within Pator.

"Authority? my Rifter is my authority!" said a Brutor Tribal Liberation Force veteran pilot.

"Chains of command? when the chains of slavery are in sight of the mother world?" said a Sebiestor Stabber pilot.

One can only hope that the RSS does have a better grip on what is going on, than the actions of their lower ranking agents imply.

Tensions between the Federation and the Republic have just started to relax; the cluster doesn't need oblivious amateurs shaking things up again. It's a shame that Gutter Press has become so irresponsible.

Weren't they always irresponsible?

Don't be so naive Merovech, anything the media can do to add to the strain will pay them dividends if there's to be another incident. They'll be right here to sell everyone coverage and infotainment every step of the way, no?

At least someone is having a laugh over this whole Federation-Republic tensions, even if it's Gutter Press.

Gallentean Bureaucracy is Suitable for Gallente People.

But Minmatar People are Not Gallente People.

Perhaps Some other form of Rules would be more Appropriate ?

It sounds very much like we are being accused of encouraging rule of law, scandalous indeed.

Don't worry my dear its most likely just your usual run of the mill tribal corruption.

It would seem that your government agrees with this... gentleman, well at least when dealing with their allies.

On behalf of those who wish to see an end to the political association between the Federation and tribal entity, thank you.

I think I am missing something here, at what point does the gallente federation have any jurisdiction over this region of space? This seems like an issue to be dealt with between the amarr and the minimatar rather then having to be settled by my people.

Keep in mind that I haven't learned all there is to New Eden's politics, so I may have missed some information about the relationship between the Gallente and Minmatar. Anybody care to enlighten me?

There's nothing insecure about a slave pen. Unless it's left unlocked, of course.

A Minmatar pilot contacted a Republic orginization. The Federation has no jurisdiction.

However, the pilot encountered 'red-tape,' which is being characterize as a result of Federation influence.

When the Minmatar rebelled, they did so with Federation aid and their government structure is sort of a compromise between pre-Imperial tribal structures and the Federation preference for democracy.

I believe Minmatar inter-tribal relations and communication is good enough that they could dismantle the centralized government and have a sort of 'united city-states' based around tribal affiliation and territory.
