YET AGAIN... this should be more concise... yes I am a multi platform guy... but I did not know this.

I'm curious as to why Mac users aren't directing fury like this at Apple for not being able to find a way to make their computers run in a manner comparable to PCs when given the same specs. vOv

The Mac client running poorly compared to the Windows client stems mainly from the fact that it IS just the Windows client in a Wine wrapper. There is no true Mac port.

Apparently you are correct.
If you look through all the packages you find a ton of .exe files ... that is evidence alone that lazy programming made this work at all... but that's all well and good so long as it works.

For now the jury is almost in on the last time I'm going to try this fix.

I was able to find and remove the app support files from the eve client ...

The launcher STILL doesn't look like the PC version and I'm not clear if it is ever supposed to... but I'm almost to the final verdict.

I officially feel sorry for ALL mac users who EVER tried to play this game after the launcher that killed eve.


"Unable to connect to the selected server. Please check the address and try again."

I could give a rats ass if they fix it either.

I just won't play or log in at work.

But I do wonder just how many people just simply won't ever play again.

I feel sorry for gamers who buy a Mac to play games in the first place.

lol, no doubt.

I use this laptop for my work. I game on my i7 at home running Windblows 7.
this laptop did NOT make it entirely possible to PLAY eve and FLEET anywhere. But I could chat and communicate and even move things around hisec if I had to. It's just stupid that this has to be such a PITA.
