I bagged myself this officer module: Ahremen's Modified Energized EM Membrane

There is a sell order in jita for 700 mil but buy orders as low as 56 mil.

What's a realistic price for this?

Faction Officer module are worth of the importance you give to them.

I can put on the table a -700M 850DPs Tengu 950DPS Proteus 870 DPSLoki 750DPS Legion doing really good with each having specifics making them different but all with excellent performances, hell really awesome, without much effort or gimp modules.

Then I can also put on the table a 25 billion + 1K DPS Tengu 1250DPS Proteus 900DPS Loki and 850 Legion by gimping their fits, doesn't really matter the dps numbers.

How much do you think 150dps over 850 is worth of?

How much do you think a 650K EHP tank is worth over a 125K EHP one?

How much is worth an 80km web over a 65 one with 1K tank or 2.5k tank?

How much is worth an active permanent tank for over 1k and another for almost 1.7k?

All depends on what you're doing with, all depends on how much risk are you willing to take with, all depends if you're taking real risks or just being paranoid preventive, in the end the same module tha has absolutely no value to me you will probably pay it 1Billion, doesn't matter, it's nothing about me but YOU.

Edit because it's worth of it: you gain absolutely nothing on putting that kind of module on your ship, you might as well become 2% more resistant to rats but I can surely tell you, with all du respect, you become 150% less resistant to ganks, and believe me, you WILL get gank for using that because of the chances it drops and the chances an idiot buys it for a fortune.

You can propably get a few hundred million for it, but at that price there aren't going to be many buyers, so the time to get a sale might be long. From a practical point of view it's about as good as a 50 million ISK module, so any buyer for it is likely going to be either a trader or a collector.

If you're not that interested in the money, I'd just hold on to it. Such items are nice to collect, especially if you got it yourself and didn't just buy it. There also might come a time when officer modules might get looked at and regain some actual benefits over the much cheaper deadspace variants.

Well you did ask for a realistic value, I don't know anything about collectors.

Pretty useless I'd say. Any active hardener does a better job for the same CPU requirement. The only advantage is that it does not need any cap.

The best use is with margin trading scams. Set it up as a sell order (or with a contract) for a high price, then set up a buy order for an even higher price, but leave no ISKs in your wallet to actually pay the seller. Someone is bound to see this as a big deal, thinks he can make instant cash and you will have sold it for a price of your choice.

Try not to set up both orders (or the contract) at exactly the same day and time or it will look too suspicious. Twisted

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.

compare it to a corpum whatever-type em thingy, somehow I doubt it is worth much more than 56m, hell 56m is probably over paying.

It's meta 13 version of a worthless item. Put it in contract, and spam link in Jita local "Ahremen's Modified ENAM."Bear

Ok, so... An officer item is worth a premium over the equivalent deadspace module because players value the purple bling factor of it being an officer mod. It is identical in every stat to an A-Type, which is worth 54m The other meta 13 officer versions are at 190 and 260. I would say that a 100m premium for being purple is probably reasonable, so list it at 150 and hopefully it sells...

There are several reasons to have a set of passive armor modules, being neuted is a big one. Whats a couple hundred mill for A-types if it has a chance to save your super's life?

Lol

You seem to believe that the meta level does something special like no other attribute can.

You think meta 13 exotic dancers smell differently from meta 12 exotic dancers? Or that one could not stick a meta level 13 to a piece of dog ****?

Let me know when you get the picture.

There are quite a few T1 meta 4 items that are better than the T2 meta 5 versions. You will already know that.

You can get the best, meta 14, membranes against explosive(the most important, at least outside very special fittings) for 190M in Jita. While I know a small number of and fittings where something like this would be useful, I wouldn't pay as much as for the explosive membrane, since the use is extreme limited compared to the explosive one. Your problem is that you need somebody that flies highly specialized setups, that you probably will not find on a fitting forum, while also being bad at the market at the same time. One important design goal behind this setups is to get the overall price down(you can archive better results with billion ISK EANMs but that draws a big fat bullseye on your back), because of suicide ganking and even if officer modules are cheaper than the dead space module, most suicide gankers don't know the exact value, what makes them gamble and sucks for you.

I would take the 178 and run.

Cheapest meta 14 explosive is 700m, I think your talking about meta 13, and here the higher meta is better. Most of the people in the market for that type of module are not worried about highsec suicide gankers... or highsec at all...
