I am a solo miner that multi boxes for his op. I am going to be working on my Rorqual, until I can fly and fit the dang thing.
On paper I have 1,670,945 EHP, My omni-tank is 2,261.95 DPS, 94,500 Shield, 449,219 hull. EM: 75.59/57.5/60 Therm: 80.47/44.75/60 Kin: 81.70/44.75/60 Exp: 84.75/23.5/60 as my resists. I heal 420 shield every second, and am cap stable at 27.6%

How much effort would it take to destroy this Rorqual? And about how long? I ask becuase I want to get an idea of how long I got to call for re-reinforcements should I ever happen to be caught with my pants down wiggling the snake in the air for all to see?

Yes it will die.

Any other information is irrelevant.

I have been told this many time, I know it will die, I know that. What I want to know is roughly how long will it take to do so, and how big of a force would it require. Any information saying it will die is useless to me, I do not care about the end, i care about the process.

Depends on who's hunting you and if you're calling for help from corpies or local. If local, your screams will not be heard. What system is it, and do you know who the locals are? Your fit is completely irrelevant.

You'd be better off having a rorqual with just the indy core fit sitting in a pos than faction/officer mods deployed anywhere else. It is doubtful they will remove off grid boosting.

A single Bhaalgorn will ruin your day. A Bhaalgorn plus anything with a cyno generator will absolutely obliterate your day.

A single cyno, and you WILL see one in front of you maybe faster than I can spell it.

A couple min to a few seconds depending on who and what is dropping you. It's not rare to see Dreads/Supers hot drop like this and jump out before any reinforcement is possible, 10 of these and your Rorkal blows up to pieces in a couple seconds.

You will die.

Death will come from one of two sources.

1) Militia point you up and then a steady stream of militia will pour in because Rorquals are interesting, everyone wants a capital on their killboard, and they will want to see what juicy bits spill from your innards. Unless you have a very large organization backing you up then you will die under a sea of cruisers.

2) A low-sec pirate alliance will notice you from one of their alts and then hotdrop a T3 cruiser fleet on you. People already pointed out how a Bhaalgorn will ruin your day, but so too will the new Armageddon at a fraction of the cost.

How precisely do you expect to survive on tank alone? Do you think you'll run your attackers out of ammo, or perhaps delay them until downtime?

Unless you have a means of escape, your capital tank is not going to do much. You could call for help, and a 1.6+ mil EHP buffer would give you a ton of time to do that, but you're gambling your expensive capital on the idea that your friends are going to win that fight. Tons and tons of people will show up to get onto a Rorqual killmail, so I'd imagine unless you're friends with PL and have a cyno on that Rorq, you won't win.

Tell me where you will be mining and I will protect you. And of course by protect I mean blow up your shinny Rorq.

Using a Rorq is like a bright, flashing beacon on a dark, clear night... Everyone half a world away will flock to your new shiny to get in on the KM.

@Sergeant Acht Scultz, Degnar Oskold
Thank you for your info.

A corp mate of mine gave me some more detailed info on what to expect.
I was surprised how very short that window to call for help really is.

I'd like to add:

Even people who normally shoot each other, will set that aside and shoot the Rorq as a team. People will be shouting in chats and locals for miles around.

Also, if your foolish enough to let your Rorq get tackled, don't expect people to want to risk very much to come defend you.
I think you'll find that your "friends" may be "afk" when you need them.

Ive seen Dreads die to a frigate gang. The Rorq won't be any different.
All those hitpoints just = fun for the frigate pilots.

A couple blap Dreads would ruin your day in a minute or two easily. If you want my honest advise this is it:

If you are looking at EFT numbers to keep you alive you are already dead. Flying this the way you propose would only encourage more and more people to attack you for the sake of doing so and for the potential reward involved.

Widen your gaze a little more to looking at who lives in your region. Is there any particular group within bridge range? What about Black Ops? What fights have recently taken place? Logistically how prepared are you to keep this safe and have backup on standby ?

Having a high value target is not just magical EFT numbers but the reality of what you are trying to do being thought out properly.

Or.. you could just park it in Metropolis and I'll come take it off your hands Pirate

A rorqual will attract the attention of any dread entity nearby.

You will die within two minutes when they arrive.
