Well, yes. Still, they don't particularly need to tie that requirement upgrade to any kind of code upgrade. While it would seem natural for them to tie the two together (just one changelog), there's little to time them together.

For all we know, July 10th is when the recycling company comes to pick up their broken old testing machines and they get new ones. P

there's no "date", its just a change on system requirements. the game already needs more than the minimum requirements. im guessing they are obviously planning on future changes, but as usually they will take years to happen.

While the new system requirements take effect on 10 July then Odyssey 1.1 will not be deployed on that date.

I'm guessing around or soon after July 18th. As they made reference to that date when saying when they could roll certain changes out. Which seemed the sort of thing a .1 patch would do, rather than a .0.x bugfix patch

I would just like to officially announce that the release date for Odyssey 1.1 is going to be *after* the release date for Odyssey 1.0.

For those wanting more specific details, they are as follows: It has been confirmed that the release date of Odyssey 1.1 will be no less than 8 days after the release date of Odyssey 1.0.

Apart from terrible advertising, there's nothing wrong with a properly configured Dell.
