hi,
i have been looking arround a bit for a good machariel fitting and iam not sure if i should go for an active or an passive tank.
i will only use it for level 4 missions, the passiv tank would be a lot cheaper but i cant fit an ab there ... maybe someone of u got experience with a good fitting for missions and could help me here.

i created 2 fittings with EFT:

what would you improve ? or am i completely wrong this way ?

iam grateful for all suggestions!

once you buy and fit that machariel, be sure to tell us where you mission so we can come take a look.

I should buy an Ishtar.

that bc linked fit is pretty similar to mine, only I use a cap injector and have a t2 rate of fire rig. I usually carry 4 sentry drones and 5 scouts. although vs angels berserkers are usually best as they like to get close.

the first , except I have CCC rig and 2 falloff rigs, no damage control (4th gyro) and a mwd instead of a AB. But these are of course just cosmetics. Truth is, in the case of the mach, your DPS is your tank. You kill most stuff before they can shoot at you.

You never passive tank a mach, also those faction autocannons are not worth it, just use meta4 if you cant use t2

This is good advice. I figured it would be easier to link a standard fit. Also make sure it has an afterburner. Part of the tank is it's speed.

What speaks against your passive tank fit is that you need good tracking, or speed, or range, to counter frigates. And all three are missing.

Tanking is only the second priority in missions. The first priority in missions is to kill stuff and this should reflect in how many modules you use for each task. All together have you used 12 modules for making a passive tank, which is too much.

The faster you kill the less damage you take. Put damage first and whatever it takes to put the damage onto your targets, then use as little tank as necessary to survive.

Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling.
