I wonder how PRISM and Kinect work? I'd be interested in learning more about the technology behind kinect.

I had a 360 for 5 years. I then sold it and bought a PS3. I will not be looking back.

Clearly it is only my opinion and others may feel differently - everything is subjective afterall - but I don't get the hype surrounding Halo (it's just another bog standard, and in my opinion rather average, FPS), and Gears is, aside from the story, an average third person shooter.

The only game that is MS exclusive I will miss is Forza 5, simply because Forza blows every other racing series out of the water. There is no competition.

Sony's exlusives appeal to me more, the PS4 has more on paper power by a substantial amount (towards the end of the generation, once the developers are experienced enough to utilise every last scrap of processing power available, I imagine its titles might be better - they'll at least be on par) and it's cheaper by £70.00.

Also, MS's insistance on ****** priprietary HDDs, headsets, etc... this generation really iritated me. Sony is generally much more consumer friendly in that department (non-bespoke upgradable storage, etc...).

I wonder why MS decided to change so suddenly. The outrage wasn't a surprise and, with all the Steam users complaining about the Xbox One and how video game boycotts have failed in the past, I don't see why MS would listen now.

Well, not every video game boycotts have failed: A long time ago, in a Galaxy far, far away...

Even if they backtrack on all these conditions, 2-3 years down the line when they've sold enough they'll re-implement it all with a big FU to the player base.

Watch this space :)

Which Sony could do as well without telling us now. I mean from what I've read the backpaddling on the online DRM thingy will be supplied by a day-1 patch of the firmware.

Guess what, Sony can do it too we just do not know if they will. It's not like they haven't done it before. Remember how the PS3 got released and even advertised with Linux Support? Remember how they dumped that later on?

Only time will show how this turns out in the end. I for my part am not getting a Xbox Done just because...well.. in the past the sony excluisves appealed more to me than the Xbox exclusives. Not that I'm getting one right on launch anyway.
And for all the other multiplatform releases? Well guess what: PC Gaming Master Race™

This marks the second most humiliating admission of defeat for Microsoft in recent history, the other being Windows 8. But Windows 8.1 doesn't seem nearly the fix people had hoped - Microsoft still won't give people the start menu they want despite how easy it is to do so. So who is to say Microsoft can be trusted with the XBox One reversal?

I'll probably end up buying both next gen consoles regardless. I do like the Kinect, and Kinect + Occulus is such an ideal combination. And I do like the HDMI pass through.

I like how Xbox has been in front of the media all during E3. Yes MS you're bad. Now that you have change your mind, we can forgive you.

Marketing department. Is there anywhere they will not go? Roll

It's about freedom.

I've heard such a thing after launch may be illegal within the EU.

Can the XB1 survive only on the US market?
