New explorer seeking wormhole help

Hi everyone!

I want to preface by saying that I have read a lot of material on this already so I am not actually seeking a how-to on the exploration minigame or scanning. I'm also not all into the "how do i make tons of money super fast!!!!," scene either. I'm an explorer at heart and don't mind paying my subscription the old-fashioned way.

What I would like to know are a few things off the beaten path and I haven't been able to find much about this: I would like to start a business selling vacant wormholes and perhaps information regarding wormholes that aren't so vacant. From what I gathered it seems to be a business of trust. I'd like to find some way to build a reputation in the area, but I don't know how to make those first hand-shakes (so to speak) happen. I'm not counting on the trade being lucrative, but I feel like establishing myself in this way would help make the joy of exploring strange space that much more fun.

Any advice or experience in the subject would be welcome! Thanks.

In the Sell Orders, forum, there's a resources sticky which links to a list of player services. At the bottom is a relevant link.

In general, you could provide things like screenshots showing the various attributes of the wormhole. I believe the link above has an escrow service to guarantee that the sale is legitimate.

I really have no experience with this, just offering some maybe ok advice. If you aren't in one already, I would suggest joining an established WH corp, to get some experience, do some networking, and have that in your employment history. I don't have experience with selling WH information, but I did the merc thing for a while (quite a while ago) and having some merc corp employment history and prior experience helped my friends and I start our own.

If that is out of the question you could just start out slow and try to build from there, with word of mouth. People will take a chance on you if the price is right, hopefully they tell your friends. From reading your post you sound like an intelligent person with good grammar, that actually counts for something if you ask me. Obviously avoid ripping anyone off....at least for a while Evil

Just keep in mind that if you only have one account that it will tough. You will need to keep a scanning alt in the WH until the sale is completed. That means that you would need the last on you account to have good skills or you end up not being able to do much while you wait for a buyer and a completed sale.

This isn't difficult.

Get alt with just enough scanning skills to scan down wormholes
-> When desired WH is found, put alt in a disposable scanning frigate. Pass him bookmarks from main character
-> Use bookmarks to enter WH.

When you have a buyer, log him on and scan out an exit. Until then, let him linger there. If he really needs to get back to civlization and for whatever reason can't get out (or the way out is inconvenient), self destruct and take the pod express.

Generally, work for a corp that lives in w-space, then sell to blue-marked (friendly) corps, then eventually transition into business for yourself when you get a broad enough client base.
