Dear pilots!

It is finally time. We now have the full list of teams that is participating in the 11th Alliance Tournament, as well as a schedule for the first two days which means you can start theorizing about the entire first round of matches!

I might give the Russian commentators a try, but (and I don't want to offend anyone here) I'm pretty sure the English version will be better.

I have to say I'm pretty disappointed that we didn't get to see how much teams bid. One of the best parts of recent auctions was being able to laugh at the people who paid over 50 plex when it was completely unnecessary to do so (while also giving them a modicum of respect for being able to afford that so easily). That's gone this year :(

Allow me to thank you for letting us know who made it into the tournament. However, I would like to state that knowing how much alliances bid in the silent auction would be awesome information. This knowledge made the competition more interesting in the ATX and I am sure would only add to this tourney.

It will take some time to get a new commentary team used to commentating but this is a solid step for those players that up until now haven't had the chance to watch the tournament and enjoy it to its full potential because they couldn't understand a word of the commentary.

We upped the 5 plex buy in from the random draw by another 5 plex.

Gotta say, I'm impressed we got in. CCP's drive to make the AT accessible to us space poor scrubs certainly worked!

We also made a small update to the rules when we moved them over to the new site: http://community.eveonline.com/community/alliance-tournament/rules/

Pirate Rookie ships have been added at 2 points, we've clarified the point values of the special edition ships (none should surprise you but we wanted to get it down on paper) and Scan Probe Launchers are officially banned.

They've actually been banned for three years but only communicated through forum posts when people asked. Nobody remembered to put them in the actual rules until now. Oops

Just tell us what the maximum bid was, that's all we want to know.
