Its about getting reach - ie go from choke point to choke point revealing as few nodes as possible - then come back and reveal areas when you can reach past and then they won't block you. You do have to deal with the "upgrader" node thingies immediately though. Once you've revealed all you can reveal without hacking, hack the node that blocks the most unseen nodes first.

No. Stop it.

If you get a Covert Ops frig with some Sisters Launchers + Probes, you can nail all the expensive Data and Relic sites no problem. You just need the equipment and the ballsack to go into 0.0 to find them.

Almost all the stuff you find in Hisec is worthless with a few exceptions, but even then it would take you a while to make it really add up. I made 650m in a single night cracking open Relic and Data sites. You just need to know where to look. Lucky for you, I'll tell you!

Oh, and here is a nifty little guide I still use for Exploration.

http://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Exploration_guide

And for probing, its incredibly easy once you get the hang of it. Once you know the proper technique, skill has nothing to do with it. Its mostly equipment if you ask me. Just YouTube probing guides. Back during Apocrypha finding a Wormhole was a miraculous achievement for me, but now I hate finding them because that means there isn't a Site there.

Problem being that relic and data drops are nigh worthless now.

I don't know where you're doing this but from what I've done yet in relique/data sites, if I could be a lucky guy and get it all it's worth in between 50 to over 500M, I'd even say more over a billion when you get T2 BPC. (I'm in null sec)

Thing is that complete random hacking thing is so illogical and for me being really lazy, ATM I can barely get 10% to 20%, read at best 15M but more often 3 to 5M being really cocky in between failed hacks (huge %) and the stupid can spewing.

ATM and without much effort I can safely say I can win 500 to 3000% more just by sitting a relique site with a cloaky gank T3 and waiting them to warp in/gank and loot the explorer with often faction launchers/mods than doing the site it myself, even get all my time for a smoke watch TV read a book or do more interesting stuff than click click click click click randomly hoping I'm not clicking for peanuts.
ATM this thing sucks and it's actually awesome, sucks because I'm completely about to leave it, no logic or strategies making so the wasted time doing that it's possible to make better isk and this is the awesome part: gank the explorer, and believe me those are not missing in null sec from all over the place in nice looking shinnies.

Not necessarily. Ive already gotten 2 Shadow Control Tower BPC's and tons of T2 BPCs. Not to mention the T2 Salvage from Serpentis and Angel sites. Getting stacks of Intact Armor plates in a single site makes me smile just thinking about it.

Did you feel any anger at that steak in your plate? EVE is an ecosystem, and somehow you decided to play a prey. Killing explorers is a pretty decent revenue source, no need to involve anger.

Sorry Dude, some players just don't like PVP that is non consensual . . . . and that isn't going to change ever.

Uncover nodes from the edges first.
Always grab utilities the instant you find them.
If you see a "mystery" white shining node don't click it before you uncover at least one other node near it.
Kill node reinforcers and virus coherence lowering nodes first.
Always explore everything before you start hacking reinforced nodes / firewalls.

Going to null without standings is pretty much suicide. Find a good corp in 0.0 and join it.

Sorry to be a bit off-topic, but this attitude really confuses me. This is a game built on the idea of player interaction, much of it combat-based and competitive. Yes, I will "hunt you down for sport", if I get the chance. That is the game. Attributing that to "anger going on in there" is plainly wrong-headed. It's a game, and I play it for fun. When I blow your ship (and/or pod) up, I am not doing it because I am angry at you. I'm doing it for the same reason a guy playing American football will tackle the ball carrier. It is a competition and according to the rules of the game, that is how I can "win". You can "win" by eluding me, or in your case apparently, by just not stepping onto the field. Just don't complain that it is no fun and unrewarding because everyone is so "angry", when you choose to stand in the backyard and throw the football through a hanging tire over and over again. That's your choice.

Your point is completely understood, and to be clear there are two type of games going on with EVE, one being PVE and the other PVP.

My experience with PVP is as I've stated......but it's an interesting and enjoyable part of the game for many players like yourself. If you're angry or not makes no difference to me if I am being attacked unprovoked by you and your group of friends or alts when I am trying to explore.... which I don't due to the restrictions.

The other side PVE is for players that don't like an unfair or unprovoked combat experience, so they ENJOY the High Sec part of the gaming experience. If many aspects of the game "such as exploration" is only available to a large degree in PVP zones... well then I (as a player who likes a fair fight gaming experience) feel that Exploration is a "failed" part of my version of this game.....

Sorry, but your game is different than my game... no big deal, but I am allowed to post or complain that "the" game should have features exist for both play styles equally or at least similarly. . . . completely understanding that PVP areas should have a greater pay out due to the risks.

Best...
