Timer suggestion for modules, list it here! (Large Micro Jump Drive Timer suggestion.)

So i have been experimenting with MJD's abit and it is such a great module!
I cant really find anything thats wrong with it! :)

The only thing id like personally, would be a timer that shows the cooldown when you hoover with your mouse over the module.
Just like you would check your range limits on guns,tractor beams, etc etc.

Small thing that would make the use of MJD's even a greater experience! :)



Edit: Great responce so far and ive changed the name of the thread to gather all modules that could use a timer!
Keep it comming! The more support the faster CCP can start! :)

Instead of extra timer coding, maybe it would be nice that the module cycle time does not end when the ship goes into the jump. Current implementation of LMJD is funny because you have to click around to see when you can use it again. And if you click it once when module is ready for activation, you will warp yourself once again :P. Just saying what can happen, not that it has happened to me.

There are several modules where it would be nice to have a visual indication of when you could use them again. IE bombs, cloak etc.

What if they blinked like they were reloading and became solid again when able to be used?

The difference between actual reloading and in cooldown would be when it's reloading, the icon would be of the module itself, if it were in cooldown it would have the icon of whatever ammo is loaded.

Great idea, one I've had myself.

All modules with cooldowns (cloak, interdiction probe launcher, mjd, DD, cyno, etc) should get a cool down timer on the tool tips.

Edit, also should add they need a timer on siege and triage mods showing TTC of cycle. "how long left on your cycle?" "about thiiiiiis much" - *attempts to show piece of pie through mumble.

Wait you are asking CCP to finish something that needs to be done? dont ask them to set long timers... just ask carrier pilots with there triage. CCP cant seem to put stable timers.

Nut seriously... i dont think they worked long on this module, the timer would really be needed.... i remember using about 5... months ago? when it was on test server... i dont know what happened about it since really. I knew about the missing timer tho.. felt like it was a problem with my client did not pay attention to it after seeing the effect a few times

I have never been in a carrier fleet and I have no clue which are the other modules out there which needs fixing. I'm sorry that I had no clue about that. So please, can someone write full list of modules which need some kind of timer? In that way, we can just aim for all those modules (EDIT: everyone can add modules which they're aware of).

Even better. This should be done. Possibly with another colour outlining the item?

The red glow like when you deactivate it staying there until you can use it again would be nice.

Anything would be awesome ... I have no clue how and why did this mistake even slip in. That should not have happened -it's just bad design. It would be really great to hear the reasoning behind those modules which have bigger cool-down but the cycle time ends before the module can be activated once again.

I diddent find it in the "Commonly Proposed Ideas" before starting the thread, but maybe i missed it! Smile

But if a dev hasent responded to it before it shouldent be there.
Maybe we need to bump abit more to get a dev's attention! Big smile
