Greetings to all!

As I write this, I am currently on the Jita gate in New Caldari. I, and I'm sure you can too, can recall numerous times where Jita gates are locked due to congestion, and I feel like that is a probrlem. Currently, I'm on my way to supply my PvP toon, but I cannot do that right now becuase the items I bought in Jita are locked to me.

I can accept gatecamps. I can accept denied access to stations in 0.0, but I cannot accept being locked out of Jita for non-player reasons. I'm waiting here, spamming "jump" with about 100 other capsuleers.

Don't get me wrong, especially after the last patch, I'm really happy with how the game is going. Fixing Jita I feel should be a priority for CCP because being locked out of the largest market hub in the game is not good for bussiness in my opinion.

Thanks for your time,

Human is an adaptive machine. Increase servers on Jita would have the result to free access in the first days but then the system will saturate again, but this time with increased servers expence for CCP.

I think a good idea would be to set up a queue system, so we can know how many jumps we have to wait and sure will do it. I'm gonna post this in the idea forum

I'm in FW so gall-minnie space is forbidden to me, especially with an indie full of cargo. Amarr is 10 jumps away, not much in a frig, but in indie is a little pain. In orca or freighter would be a real pita.

In caldari space there are also smaller hubs like Nonni, Torrinos and that other one whose name escapes me.

Much rather a tax that scales with the number of market placements there are in a given station. Otherwise you could delete jita off the map, and people will just move a system over, jita wasn't always the main hub.

A queue would be great for logins. Not so sure about jump-ins though - it sounds nice, but it just makes things that much safer for autopiloters. Maybe some kind of queue that requires at-the-keyboard user input to enter?

Another idea that is far more frivolous would be a way to see if Jita is currently under traffic control or not. Might save people the trip if it's around those times where it isn't always traffic controlled but might be.

How would you propose that CCP "fix Jita"? The problems with Jita are caused by the players not by CCP, who have done everything possible to make the Jita node more stable.

This is a quote taken from the current General Discussion "fix Jita" thread:

This.

If we up the limit then Time Dilation starts to kick in more aggressively than it does now. It will with the current limit drop to 80% approx. every 15 minutes on average during peak hour.

There isn't much more that CCP can do for the time being beyond removing local for spammers, or finding a way to discourage the spammers.

So what should CCP do INfec7ed?

'Fix Jita'

Can you please be a bit more specific? I had my cat 'fixed' but I don't think that is what you mean.

Unless it is. Are you asking that we encourage people to go to other markets? Maybe add a market tax in the high volume areas to encourage more diverse markets? Is that what you mean by fix? Neuter?

I found it fascinating that Jita in our sister server in China wound up also the major trade hub.

The spammers go where there are ears and idiots. If Jita becomes less and less populated the spammers and scammers will also move onto greener pastures. Jitas population will become self correcting.

I have said it before and I will say it again. When you ask the CSM to 'do something' try to have a specific goal or methodology in mind. Just point ing and yelling 'fix it' is right up there with the Red Queen declaring 'off with her head'. Serves nothing and usually nothing happens.

We can ask, but we'll only get the same answer that CCP have already given to this question on this very forum, which I will summarise:

Jita is already running on its own reinforced node. It's as good as its going to get. Try going to another hub like Amarr.

Proposal #1 - Fix for CCP:
Kick AFK people from Jita after being afk for > 15 minutes so players that are ACTIVE can actually get in.

Proposal #2 - Fix for Players:
People should start seeding systems around Jita with stuff like isotopes and minerals and other manufaturing items, as you won't get a free manufacturing slot in jita anyway and you don't need fuel in Jita en mass.

AFK people in Jita don't really contribute to the load on the system.

CCP are looking at the load, when determining the level of people to allow into the system.

Thus, kicking afk people won't make a difference to the number of active people allowed in Jita, just drop the limit further.

it makes a difference, because it feels like jita is being capped at 2055 people right now.
How on earth the 100 people that are outside station and maybe 200 people that fly between the gates can make up all the load that Jita has is beyond my knowledge.

The issue was not being allowed into Jita, therefor kicking AFK people will allow people to get into Jita instead of "waiting" on the gate (which can be bypassed easily if you have a good ping and know how to spam the jump button and press enter - which I think is another issue for high load).

edit: And by kicking AFK people, I don't necessarily mean to disconnect them from the game, but move them to a different system.
