What?

in 2007 i've thought it's a sci-fi simulator, not an "e-sports" game. I'm not a teenager, how would i like it much?

I think you're at least a few years late with this particular gripe.

EDIT: Added the dev quote giving reason for the limitation.

Weight and muscularity will be adjustible ( with different contraints per race / bloodline ) but height is not adjustible. Different height avatars require an animation system or a set of animations multiple orders of magnitude more complex than having all the same height. There's a lot of things we can't support with different height avatars without considerable extra engineering and art investment which we prefer to spend elsewhere. That said, the men are taller than the women.

Capsules have strict dimensional requirement for pilots.

Also, the upward angle used in your avatar's portrait already gives the illusion of height, as well as being used to great dramatic effect. I fully expect her to start gibbering about her long lost sled any moment.

Perhaps you could use camera angles to give the impression of being very tall... or something.

That's sad. I've thought it's not a big deal to make height adjustable.

Only thing you can do is walk around the CQ alone anyway. Pretend you're whatever height you want. Then pretend someone made a room to the exact dimensions someone of your height would want.

I'd have my Capsuleer be 4'11.

Just to put that out there.

I'm a god, or at the very least a demigod. I fit in everything as I please to fit in no matter how tall I am.

The cloning center says otherwise. You're 5'2" just like every other capsuleer. P

you think they store clones in every size in the medbay?

how to fix eve: 1) remove ECM 2) rename dampeners to ECM 3) add new anti-drone ewar for caldari 4) give offgrid boosters ongrid combat value

EVE avatars are best in the industry even without height parameter - both graphics and animation. Can't wait for an MMO game where I'll have decent gameplay with similar or better avatars (Star Citizen? Destiny?)

Those were the time when characters were supposed to interact and CCP wanted such perfect animations that they had to make eveyrone the same height to limit the effort needed.

Today that's just another drop in the big bucket of stoopid around avatars in EVE.
