EVE Mac Launcher is not working anymore

Just to report. I had the same "Launcher Exception" problem, with the launcher spewing up the same error log about unexpected errors and exceptions for several weeks. I figured out how to launch the app directly, bypassing the launcher, but of course with the Odyssey update I was SOL.

What worked for me was deleting the following files:
Quote:

$ rm '/Applications/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/transgaming/c_drive/Program Files/CCP/EVE/common.ini'
$ rm '/Applications/Games/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/cache/*'


You need appropriate system permissions to do so.

Now the launcher is loading (for the first time in weeks) and I'm up to 47.7% on the EVE_Online_O-548234_mac.patch.

So, looking hopeful.

Sorry, that second line (if your EVE is in your Applications folder) should read:

$ rm '/Applications/EVE Online.app/Contents/Resources/cache/*'

and I also deleted the Downloads folder in that cache directory, but don't think that matters.

I want to note.

THIS PROBLEM HAS REOCCURED AGAIN.

I don't want to keep losing my UI settings every time i play EVE Sad

I had to remove the Cache folder and I had to remove the Libery folder due to the ISSUES I have received AGAIN.

CCP please fix this because I'm sick of redoing all the channels, UI, Browser bookmarks and everything every week.
