Having major issues with raising my npc corp standing to 8.0 !

So I want to buy myself a jump clone but I would need an npc corp standing of 8.0, my best standing is with my school "State War Academy" which is 3.8 (using connections 3, social 4 skills) but doing missions for SWA only awards me with 0.01 increased standing, so basically I would need to do 400 missions for the SWA ?
Also contrary to being a fighter pilot in SWA, instead of giving me security missions they only provide courier missions! is that normal? even their lvl 4 missions are still courier as I confirmed from missions list guide.
I mean I just want to get myself a jump clone so that I can easily train for different skills and start wandering into low/nullsec, do I really have to spend two months doing courier missions for this ?

Courier missions give significantly less standing then security missions also the Npc corp usually specializes in one type of mission, though they can give others use the agent finder to help you find them. An agent only gives one type of mission so be aware and it will tell you the type prior to talking to them.

Always willing to help all you have to do is ask, though if you're in the other fleet I may not help the way you want. Just a heads up. Pub Channel: Lost Souls Trading Post

You may wish to look at Caldari Navy agents instead.

It wont take that much of a grind to get to 8.0 standing doing Security missions.

Or you could join a player corporation with 8.0 standing.

Another thing to take note of, is to try and make sure your get the storyline missions (every 16 normal missions) from the same corp - this helps a lot with standings.

The basic NPC corps, however, are not always the easiest to do this for - the navy or similar factions are usually best - especially for the combination of security and storyline agents.

If your going to be running a lot of missions - get used to using the agent finder to find combinations of security agents and closest storyline agents that happen to be of the same faction, (same station if possible), or get used to swapping agents for the 16th mission to make sure you get the right corp for the storyline mission agent - (storyline missions give far more standing than normal missions, and are one of the few ways to increase faction (not just corp) standing).

This char is my main mission runner, and is currently working her way through all the corps of most of the factions (to unlock level 3 missions in general, level 4 with navy/combat corps) so she'll always have decent missions to run, without having to worry too much about standings.

Much easier now she's got an Orca, though - I have to say...

Estel Arador Corp Services offer a JC service

Apply to join them, you have 24 hours to get as many JCs as you have skills for, using their corp standings, and then you leave, job done.

A jump clone won't let you train different skills, it keeps the skills you have when you jump into it, all that differs is the implants. For a differently skilled option you can use one of your character slots instead.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

Train Connections and Social at least up to level 4. Actually, take em up to level 5, you won't regret it.

Connections will increase the amount of your current positive standing making it quicker to reach the required amount of corp standing for Jump Clone activation.

Social will increase the amount of standing gained for completing missions making it quicker to reach the required amount of corp standing for Jump Clone activation.

Good luck to you and welcome to Eve.

1.) Use Estel Arador.

2.) Pick another corp.

You CHOOSE to use a corp with only courier missions.

Pick a corp that has security agents and a med bay and it will go quicker.

OP use the 'agent finder' tab that shows up when you open the 'agents' section in a station and use the filter options to find security agents.

So which is better for overall corp standing, doing missions with the same agent over and over or doing missions with different agents of the same corp ?
ie. does an agent's own standing with me affects how much standing I gain from the npc corp ?

Your standing with the agent influences all rewards, including standings. The difference is minimal though. Running missions through one agent reduces travel time.

My opinion is that level 4 courier agents are rarely worth the effort since they tend to send you on longer hauls than L3 courier agents for almost the same standings gains. I have had much better luck running L3 security missions for standings.

As Mara said, the difference is minimal.

Ideally, you still want to be in a place where you have the choice of multiple agents because:
1) You might refuse missions (lowsec, combat against another empire, ...) and as you can only refuse one mission every 4 hours, when you get two such missions back to back it's nice to be able to switch agents quickly.
2) When doing courier missions, you end up a few jumps away - if there are multiple agents in the same region, it might be quicker to fly to a different agent than flying back to the first one.
3) Having multiple courier agents in the same station can be beneficial, as you might be able to run two missions at the same time if they have the same (or almost the same) destination.
