*generic copypasteable repost since a lot of people with launcher issues seem to miss it due to too many replies.. so share this with your friends*

Go to your Eve install folder... usually in Program Files for the ultranoob (let me be i ain't used windows in ages).

Find the "bin" folder in there, inside that folder is *** ExeFile.exe ***

Run that, login oldschool.

Bonus: Make a link for that file, and replace the launcher's quicklink.

CCP was smart enough to allow bypassing the launcher unlike most companies.

Trial here...

Not trying to pile on, but I have to ask; is this a common occurrence? There seems to be an inordinate amount of down time going on at the worst possible time. Launcher issues, Server issues... seems to be a lot of issues. Is this something us Trials can look forward to.. or is this just been a weird few weeks?

It's just been a recent issue...Eve is typically quite stable and problems are rare. :P

If I had a nickel for every time someone said women don't play eve, I'd have a bag of nickels to whack the next person who said it..

I'm not one to complain about the servers being down, but this is getting ridiculous. How often are your servers going to do this?

As often as Goons need to stall getting their poop pushed in.

I would have never asked this question before as, even with the bugs, the cluster stayed up.
Now, odyssey has brought back some old bugs and introduced new ones. I thought we had gotten past this point where we don't fully check things on singularity before even giving a date of release, or at least getting a patch ready before even releasing it. I say patch as most others here wouldn't know what I mean when I say a .diff file, pertaining to code. You wouldn't patch on the client if you discovered the bug before releasing odyssey; or, would you? Just patch the code with a .diff before they download, before releasing.

But yes, before the last perceived at roughly Ten downtimes, I would not have asked Why did you run the network cables through plumbing as conduit, so that everytime someone flushes a toilet up stairs, the cluster goes down in your mom's basement?

Keep up the good work CCP. This is a good way to cleanse the gene pool of all the riff-raff.

There is no Gene pool as there are no women here, no matter how hard you try to make your space barbie look hot.

Ever been around a four old little girl who will absolutely not listen and talks back like a sailor?

That's what the server is doing.

So, I'm wondering when they will change it from "Unscheduled" downtime to Scheduled down time every weekend?

This is crazy.

Probably cause someone was ******* with something when they shouldn't have been. Someone in the networking department is getting reemed.

My first 5 months were fantastic! I was amazed at how little time the servers were down!

Last couple of weeks are getting to be a little too much.

It's cool to say: "Go play another game. Spend time with family.", etc.; but when I sit down to play EVE, that's the time I get to play. I've already done all of those other things. I've even painted some miniatures! :)

Earlier, I had some time and sat down and could run a mission, but couldn't access the market at all. Needed to buy some more ammo for another mission. Kept me from playing...

It's Saturday night, 9pm... (Eastern US) should be up and running.

This is twice in the same week that they've had some sort of issue.

I run Mac, so it's not a launcher issue for me.

I'm a developer, so I can understand what's up and have been willing to cut some slack, but it's getting close to the danger point. :)
