Thanks CCP for allowing such vibrant discussion on the forums about Oddysey. Most game companies would try to control what is discussed, but CCP welcomes everyone's views with open arms.

Kind of a mixed bag with CCP.

They do listen to us, for sure. They absolutely shat themselves over burn Jita and rightly so and have done much to put that right. Cost them $4,000,000+ in lost revenue I would imagine.

But they often implement things poorly and only get it kinda right after many iterations. EG Inventory, UI, PvE. UI and PvE should be completely scrapped and built from the ground up.

They haven't started on the big thing: the fact that WE ALL HATE structure bashing

Take too long to fix bugs that really are a drag. The titan jump bug still isn't fixed. It took them a year to fix the other huge bug that meant your overview didn't load upon jumping (can't remember the exact details of it but it spoilt my gameplay for a whole year)

But gotta give them a bit of slack. Sandboxes are hard to get right.

It's how CCP rolls.

I'd like to thank CCP for making the kind of game an old fashioned player like me enjoys.

Thanks for the cutthroat capitalism, thanks for the perma death, thanks for the thievery and skullduggery, and thanks for the PLEX system, which was the first of it's kind for paid transactions.

And thanks for sticking to your guns (most of the time) about those things.

But most of all, thanks for making a game where I can go out and ruin someone else's day.

Give your techs some beer we love them! as someone who has worked in a massive server farm I know they need some kodos!

However Please make sure they are done working before the beer! beer+server =bad things.

I thank CCP when I pay them (since I'm too lazy to make Isk sometimes) to play the game.

That said, there are notable people (ISDs in particular, since they are not paid.) who go above the call of duty to make EVE a better place. I love when ISDs interject humor and their personality when closing a thread. I don't get the sense of power-tripping like I have in other forums (usually).

I also appreciate the passion of DEVs and CCP staff for the game (and the fact some interact with the player base).

I don't know what goes on beyond closed doors in Iceland (and don't wanna know for the most part), but unlike with many games, I feel those responsible for EVE care about the players, not just about the bottom line.

It could all be an intergalactic scam, but even so, I have to love them for pulling it off so well.
