Do i have to check 0.5 systems for their true sec status, or is evry system that shows up on starmap with 0.5 a system that concord will respond to crimes in, regardless of the true sec status being actually lower than 0.5?

If it says 0.5 on the tin then Concord is an ingredient.

True-sec is rounded to the nearest 1 decimal place for things like Concord, belt composition, negative sec status (FACPO) response etc.

In the beginning there was nothing, which exploded.

What does truesec matter in empire space for? This is a silly question.

For the same things as in nullsec.

The actual security rating number of the system. Eg 0.9459 for Jita — not 0.9; 0.462 for Inari — not 0.5.

It used to be used mostly in relation to 0.0 systems since they were all rated at 0.0, when there's actually a full range of sec ratings from 0.0 to -1.0. Even after this was changed so that the minus-ratings for nullsec systems show, it's still rounded up (eg. -0.446 for EC-P8R, which afaik is listed at -0.4 and used to be listed at simply 0.0), the true sec rating still matters for a number of PvE mechanics.

You get better rewards from a 0.46 system than you do a 0.54.

No, nothing affect loot and salvage. But but you can easily get 5–10M more ISK/h.

Tippia, I gotta give you a "like" on this response. The fact that you calmly responded with facts to a player that obviously has issues with hisec is commendable. You never engaged in his asshatery.

This is highly debatable. 5-10 million ISK/Hr? Then how come people that run missions in .8 systems don't make a pittance compared to those who run in .46 systems. I would say at most you would make 1 mil or so more ISK/Hr if it even matters at all. 5-10 mil lol.

They do. Well, unless they run the missions wrong… but no mechanics can fix that. Blink

I haven't checked police, specifically, but it doesn't affect CONCORD at least.

So 0.5 has a set time, then 0.6, then 00.7 then 0.8 regardless of the true sec?

I think I read something you wrote that said there were differences in systems of the same sec but that was a while ago.
