Why not make these new faction BC's invulnerable to ecm.
They cost so damn much and the way ECM boats, such as Falcon and BlackBird or the griffin are so OP'ed, it would make sense to make them invulnerable to ecm.
These new faction ships cost more than regular BC's with no bonus to sensor strength they are not worth buying.
Just wastch a pvp vid the other day that had a falcon perma jam a ship OVER 90KM.
With the new ship balances I think mister fonzie and kil2 should focus on their smarts/wits and will into doing something that will help make ECM ships less OP.
ECM less OP = More fights, more ships destroyed, nice isk sink hole.
LETS GET IT DONE.

Because there's no reason to give them that kind of ability?

Oh, and ships being destroyed is an ISK faucet, not a sink.

Well it might make sense to give them not immunity but strength against the opposing factions EWar. But immunity would be as OP as ECM.

So OP that they're falling out of favour and being replaced by damping ships…

…also, the above fit works with anything that has tons of midslots (bah! too slow Oops)

Nope, it's countering a second person with a second person. That fit works equally well with any force recon because none have a Remote ECCM bonus.

What's to explain? A ship being destroyed removes no ISK from the game. The isk that was spent on the ship simply went to another player - it still exists, just not in YOUR wallet anymore.

Ship destruction does trigger insurance, though, which generates brand new isk that didn't exist before.

A ship is destroyed. No ISK leaves the game, as you've already given it to another player.

ISK enters the game, as you are given the insurance money.

Sure, Insurance /could/ be a sink, if people didn't have their ship destroyed while it was covered, paying for the insurance more than once. But that doesn't happen (on average).

People /think/ it's an isk sink, because their total value is dropping. But an ISK sink is only where it leaves the game completely.

Much of our language is adapted to common usage, not necessarily inline with its original definition. What people "think" (or perspective) may indeed make a seemingly incorrect word choice, accurate. Context matters.

ETA: That said, the OP's choice of "sink hole" is a bit awkward. (I misread it).

Since the thread is about how OP ECM allegedly is, I'll leave it that... as at least a nerf thread can be semi-constructive and is about something other than Goons.
