Check Out My Wallet Journal API: new scam =?

Basically the way it works is this:

ISK "Doubler" puts API in, API works as normal pulling API info.

Site filters out all outgoing transactions and displays incoming transactions.

Now this is the fun part, they all say you must send an exact amount, if you don't send that exact amount its a "Donation". This is because the site looks at the API and if it sees, for example, a 100m ISK deposit it will fake a return for whatever they state with the description. If you sent 100,000,001 or 99,999,999.99 It won't do anything as its only been set to check for specific numbers.

Also the biggest give away apart from claiming to double ISK is the fact the site states:

"3. EVE-API.COM is in no way responsible if the data displayed on our website is wrong or misleading."

In the TOS.

Amazing how the OP asks about a doubler and my name comes up more than anyone else in a positive light.

Just more proof that I am truly Eve's honest isk doubler. Notice how all the naysayers have never actually played my game.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

So between mining I had some fun and (hopefully) saved a few people.

This guy is such a shonk that he removed my entries from his listing - so the whole things is dishonest and a out right scam.

this shows my entry giving Mal Dizzle 200m isk

Just stopped by to thank Erotica1 for her excellent service.

While this API scam scheme indeed is fraudolous, Erotica1 on the other hand offers good deals at fair conditions. You just need to read the rules you agree upon sending her any ISK very carefuly and she'll double it without a doubt and almost instantly.

I quadrupled my wallet thanks to Erotica1, and you can too.

Now, you might think I'm being paranoid, but there is an awful lot of scammers pasting this exact same text. If you were harvesting for account details, you'd cast as wide a net as possible. Most likely is just unimaginative bandwagon hoppers, but if it isn't already, it's only a matter of time before somebody is using this to direct you to malicious websites.

All sorts of dangerous stuff can happen to you. At best you'll lose your ISK to a scam. Worst, you'll be losing your account.

Don't visit strange links (they don't have candy or puppies)

The main difference between linking to a scam site and linking to a malware injection site is that the scam site falls reasonably within the Eve TOS, whereas the malware injection site probably contravenes sections 7, 16, and 19.

200 mill you say ?

So 5 more shiny knights like you and we're at a billion. Good job fueling the scamming trade.

Oh, and it is very likely that your selfless act has saved a few people ... in the same way that the guy who fell for the scam before saved you. Big smile

That's not a real API site. As in public api site. It's the scammers own site. Try ask them to allow you to use the real API info and you will be blocked, was even an article in PC Gamer on this scammer I think.

The worst part about this scam isn't the fact that it's an obvious scam, it's the fact that it's spambots spamming it and CCP couldn't care less.

If there ever would be a LEGIT isk doubler, he/she would publish his/her full api-key.

And it would be even more transparent, if the donater would actually GIVE you ISK without any stupid doubling.

Have to give Erotica1 some props, he really tries hard (but fails).
Unfortunately 90% of people are dead stupid.

If you think this then you have clearly spent very little time in Erotica1's company. Anyone who brings that amount of joy and happiness to so many people in a game clearly isn't failing.

If it weren't, there wouldn't have to be afk cloaking, now would there?

But, throwing in myself, to confirm Erotica 1 is legit.

The ccp server that hosts the api data is https://api.eveonline.com, you can read the api documentation at http://wiki.eve-id.net/APIv2_Page_Index. Eve-api.com is some 3. party sites that provides fake api data, they read the real incoming payments from the real eve api, and then adds the fake payout.

The real names and amounts does make it more believable, but still a pretty obvious scam.

I'm a relatively respectable citizen. Multiple felon perhaps, but certainly not dangerous.

Holy crap, how many alts do you have, Erotica1? At least you didn't name them Erotica2, Erotica3, and so on. ISK doublers will always be scams. I have had a couple people send me ISK, but the most I had to give them was a thank you. There are decent people in this game, and none of them require you to put a down payment on their generosity.

Pretty sad that CCP does not care about spambots but worry about stupid things like changing skill names to appease dumb players. I guess their thinking is if players are stupid enough to fall for this scam, then it makes the game appear hard core and rough to the non-playing public. Yet on the other side of the coin, safety switches and warning labels entering the game the past few years to soften the game for new players makes me wonder what kind of bi-polar thinking goes on with their game changing decisions.

I lack the vocabulary to adequately describe the magnitude of your folly... Straight

Please heed te following advice for your future endeavors:

Don't pay ISK to scammers! Or for that matter, any money at all, regardless of the currency.

It just makes You look (incredibly) stupid and the more you try to explain how smart you were by giving money to a scammer the dumber you'll look.

Stupidity should be a bannable offense.

Fighting back is more fun than not.

Indeed it is a test. Most people will send the minimum of 50 mil, they get 100 mil back, so they think he's legit. They send twice or quadruple that amount, what ever his rule is, he keeps it and makes money. The rule of having to be over 4 weeks old is to protect him from being accused of scamming newbies. If he wasn't scamming, there would be no rules, he would just be generous.
