hacked acocunt process...

I have reason to believe my other account was hacked and yes I have sent in a petition with as much information as possible.

so basically, what is this process like?

say the person who took control of this acocunt logs on it sells my godly expensive nightmare, purposely dies and i lose x amount of skillpoints, is this reimbursed? or ...

The account will be temporarily banned until CCP can find out what happened and what they did before returning it to you.

The logs will show nothing so missing stuff probably will stay missing.

Safe bet is to say it'll take about a week

well one week isnt that long, but for now ive added the char to wl and whatnot to try to monitor it.

but this is just crazy becasue I was just on the account yesrday, now cant even access it.

Have you done the needful and virus/malware scanned your PC(s)?

i do one eveyday, but im doing another right now as we speak, as i jsut found all this out not too long ago.

now im going in to every important thing and changing the pw via different pc and what not. my main seems to be okay for now (this account) but im hoping that this week process isnt that long

Did you be a bad capsuleer and buy ISK with real life cash? Did you share your account with anyone? Also, very hard to hack someone, would need your account name. Evidently, you have some spyware/malware, or you did some shady transactions in the past and someone knew your account name, or perhaps someone you lent out your credentials did it. So yeah, scan your computer, and hope you weren't adding to the RMT business.

no one has my account info but me, i have changed the pw multiple times on the account and no I didnt rmt , all the isk on that account from running incursions hence the godly expensive nightmare example i provided. but yeah im scanning my pc right now, everyday as i always do, something must have slipped by

this brings up another point, i changed the pw on my main and didnt recieve a notification for my pw being changed

why is this so? can we at least get notificaitons foir this? unless there already are and i missed it

.

Yeah, and seriously those notifications can be a godsend. The one from my bank was the only way I knew my online bank account had been hacked. They went in, changed my phone number and address and email reference, and had actually called Wells Fargo and ordered a new ATM card.

Thing is, I had literally just changed the password not even 3 weeks before. There really is not any way to protect yourself anymore, and these companies like CCP would be doing us all a big favor if this process of notification was put in place.

well i can confirm 100 percent that the acocunt has been hacked.

i added it to wl via this acocunt and the account actually logged on.

That's one thing I really don't like about EVE. I've had 5 accounts for 5 years (give or take) and I almost never file petitions (maybe 1 a year per account?) and I feel like if I need a prioritized petition, it should be there for me.

well this account doesnt seem to banned yet, as i stated earlier the account logged on and this person went to a random nullsec system where i use to live.

that has nothing to do with anything and that issue is totally seperate and believe me , compared to others who posted actualy images of this person and talked about her, what I said was nothing.

Waiting sucks, but the outcome is the important part, hope it gets sorted.

ugh. I can't even imagine that. I mean, for people who share computers ore accounts yah that's a problem... but for a guy like me? If someone could somehow hack my account I can't think of a country I wouldn't fly to to have a little conversation about it. Maybe N Korea. Maybe....
