In all seriousness, you were destroyed by CONCORD because you shot at something that didn't belong to you. The wreck belonged to someone else.

Had you looted from it, and it was not your property (yellow), rather than abandoned (white) or marked as yours (blue), then you would have been suspect flagged anyway.

Damn it Falcon, CCP needs to install a simple system that prevents people from doing this... maybe a RED YELLOW AND GREEN indicators on the HUD. AND MAYBE ... yes... MAYBE we could call it crimewatch

Yes shooting a blue wreck = concord and now said player also has a killright on you.

Uh, nope. You don't get a kill right for shooting someone wreck AFAIK. Only for blowing up their ship or pod in high sec.

Are people getting TEST and concord mixed up? :)

That should be TESTs new motto in fact, much better than test friends are best friends or whatever crap they currently have.

I know right. Just shows how many idiots only skim the OP Title before spouting off. An example of why most posts on the forum should be ignored if you ever needed one.

Inject Reading Comprehension to level 0. Train to level 1. READ: DID NOT USE THE SMARTBOMBS.

Christ.
Train to level 2. Read: the wish to use smartbombs was what led him to turn the safeties off, and since there is no good reason to ever use smartbombs in highsec (other than to get yourself CONCORDed) that was his first mistake. His second was to turn the safeties off.

They are not, the faction's police forces are far weaker then CONCORD. Do not think of CONCORD as a 'police force' but more or less of an insurance company: one that insures the destruction of an offenders ship. The design rules say: if you agress in hisec you lose your ship. CONCORD is merely an attemt at suspension of disbelief. Not a great one but there you have it.
The design is more that, in highsec, aggression comes at a cost. You can either pay it pre-emptively at a discount (wardec) or you can pay as you go (CONCORD ship loss).

Just curious, when you offend their sensibilities by shooting at something you ought not, how long does it take Concord to drop by and waste you?

It takes seconds.........

I honestly do not get why the in game police need to be this strong. I understand if it's not absolute then groups of people could ruin it for others, but you sort of have to adapt in a game like this, maybe get another group to fight that group with.

Why are we hired to go kill pirates factions are having trouble with when concord can instagib anything and everything.

That last bit is sort of immersion breaking. Ive proposed that instead of super ships, CONCORD should have the finger on the button of your ship, or any ship that requires a CONCORD pilot's license to fly. If you do something bad, they hit your ship's self destruct.

Also I think blue wrecks should be free to shoot. I'm not sure why retaining an "ownership" state of a blue wreck is needed. As noticed by the OP, its counter-intuitive that an abandoned item is still owned by the person who abandoned it.

White == yours, blue == abandoned. Shooting abandoned wrecks will get you Concordokkened, salvaging them will not. That always seemed a bit broken to me.

In the future either click on the salvager manually or set it to a ctl+ or Alt+ key. I have mine moved to the bottom row on my hud along with any other utility mods.
AB and shield mods.on second row and all weapons on top row.

Blue wrecks & containers are one of the few ways to be 'nice' to random strangers in this game, without anyone having to assume any risk.

If blue also meant that the wrecks were free-to-shoot (instead of just free-to-loot), it would open up a whole extra area of rather pointless griefing - and, notably, cost-free griefing. EVE seems to have the underlying philosophy that you are free to grief, as long as you accept the costs and risks that go with it.

If I don't want to share my wrecks, I don't have to. I can leave them yellow, I can blow them up. But what I can't do is decide that the other guy over there who wants to share the wealth can no longer do so, because I'm going to blow up everything he shares. I mean, I can... in theory... but it's a lot of work. I'd have to loot and salvage everything, then jettison it, and then blow up my own container. Which is a lot more effort than your average person who just wants to deny someone else a wreck is going to do.

Well someone did threaten to turn me into a grease spot if I continued to salvage his wrecks.. and idgaf was his response about concord.

The fact that is ejects the loot into a still claimed container works that problem out though... Somewhat.

Oh, I perfectly understand, Hal Morsh — a mission like this requires courage, skill, and heroism… qualities you are clearly lacking. Have you forgotten you're one of the bloody immortals!?

>insta-gib pirate factions

The RP answer is that the Jovians supplied Concord with their fancy instagib tech, but built safeties into it such that it can only be used in certain situations. Thus CONCORD cannot help with missions, etc.

Somewhere in the forum, I suggest we replace Concord with the Goons. They clearly like to secure Jita from smugglers, so why not give them the chance to prove they can keep us all safe? Of course, taxes will have to be diverted to their treasury to pay the costs.

See Bio for isk doubling rules. If you didn't read bio, chances are you funded those who did.

One of my all time favorite thing was finding carebears in BS's using smartbombs in missions. Scan them down, warp in with a noobship and fly right into their smartbomb. Insta-Concordokken! Hilarious! Sure, I may have lost a pod now and then but they never had implants and were cheap enough clones to replace.
